I'm planning to jump from the 15th floor or higher which is like 167 feet i presume, and to combat SI, I plan to use sleeping pills. I just have some queries;-
1) is 167 feet enough?
2) how much dosage should I take of the sleeping pills
3) will I feel anything while dying, like ive always had a fear of the pressure of air when you jump.

However you may decide, find peace soon.

1. I can't answer this one directly because I feel like it would give too much direction than is lawful. The odds are in your favor if you fall on your head onto concrete at this height though.
2. sleeping pills usually do not turn off SI, you'd be in ''better'' hands with something mind altering, not energy altering. Alcohol + jumping is a no go though!!!!!
3. you'll definitely feel the air for a couple of seconds. From a survivor of jumping from a large height I've heard that it can get cold for a moment too.

Thankyou! Although, would you know what else I could use instead of sleeping pills?

I'll be honest, I have no idea at all. The best remedy against SI is always waiting for the day you are truly ready to go. But I understand, no one wants to wait for various reasons, neither did I.

You'd want to look for something that gives you a heightened sense of self, or bravery. Sleeping medicine would do the opposite, and the chances of ending up severely injured in a hospital instead of dying get lower when the body is tense while hitting the hard ground.

At least that is what I would go for if I jump, it's important you find what feels correct to you...

Is 167 feet enough?

Jumping is one of those methods where it is not possible to give a definite answer. People have died after falling 6 feet from a ladder. People have survived skydives from over 10,000 feet when their parachute didn't open, usually because they landed on something that broke their fall. However, a useful rule of thumb is that if you jump fom 100 feet or more, if you don't hit anything on the way down, and if you land on a solid surface such as concrete, your chance of surviving is very small. You can make it even smaller by jumping from a place, or at a time of day, when you won't be found for many hours.

Will I feel anything?

From my experience in a vertical wind tunnel, falling through the air is not unpleasant. In any case, you will only be falling for 3 or 4 seconds.

Will I feel anything while dying?

I don't know. I've never done it. But my best guess is that you are likely to die almost instantly on hitting the ground, in which case you wouldn't have time to feel much

1 - that is above the recommended minimum height of 150 feet. your death is 95% to 98% going to happen:

3 - your death will probably be instant so you won't feel much.
