It's real. He is in the hospital now. Seemed like a psychotic break. I personally don't like him because he made his success tearing down other people. So please don't think of him as a role model to be jealous of in any way.
I could hear his skin ripping a couple times he cut himself. Also, saw some blood on the walls. But you are right that I think a lot of the deep cutting happened before he live streamed. He look like the bloody scene from the famous movie "Carrie". You may be too young to understand that reference. Anyway, I don't think its a prank. It's just too sick to be a joke. Dude was even naked. His career is over. People are legit traumatized when the video popped up in their feed.

He was also recently hospitalized for sepsis and almost died and suddenly became religious.
I watched a lot of the video. Definitely psychotic or possessed. Most suicidal people just quietly end their lives, not make a naked livestream for the world to see. He had no message he was trying to get across or no cause to die for. He kept saying "why am I not dead yet" and "its hurts but feels so good".
You're probably right that I shouldn't think of him as a role model to be jealous of. Thanks for saying that. In my life, I've had a lot of bad things happen, and my life is ostensibly clearly unsuccessful, but you're right: a lot of what he did was fucking horrible. That should never be aspirational, even if I am glad when LGBT are financially successful and do well, it's bad when it's a way that involves unnecessary cruelty.
He probably became religious due to brain damage and the brain damage and religion are probably connected to psychosis. It's a lot harder for a religious person to deal with mental health symptoms because they are already coming from a perspective of delusional thinking because they can't deal with the reality that people die, there's no life after death, and sometimes things are just awful. So when a mentally ill person starts having psychosis, they are fitting their symptoms into their already bizarre religious-fantasy thinking.
I don't know if his career is over. We live in the attention economy. Views sell. Part of me wonders today whether it was fake, but it probably wasn't. And when I say fake, I mean, I don't now if all the blood on him was real. He may have gotten naked with fake blood and then started cutting, and I am so cynical that I genuinely wonder whether he moved to Miami expecting people to book him or pay him to be places, and that didn't happen, and so he needed to get attention. Well, this did that. He can be the new face of mental illness.
I wrote a post after it happened, but then deleted it, stupidly. The post was saying I felt annoyed by his public "attempt"... because he used a non-method that was not going to work, in a way that was designed to attract medical attention quickly. And some people are actually suicidal and do attempt and nearly die or some people come close to attempting, but don't, but would use a fatal method if they were to attempt... and this group of actually suicidal people has to share space with people who go "look at my self-harm scars from my attempt" and they were never in any real danger of dying of suicide.
I feel like there is version of mental health that society wants where someone has some issue, they go and get help, get better, and go "yay for mental health and self-care is important" and just parrot the slogans that are shown by big pharma and big psych (ie, betterhelp et all). But I also feel like a lot of those "mental health awareness is important" people aren't actually that crazy and just want attention. I am pretty sure that's what's going to happen in this situation, and I don't think he's going to disappear, I think he's going to be out in a month, streaming about how he needs some new medication and medication and therapy are important, and then I think he's going to hit the gym hard, get facials, try to look nice, lay low, and about a month later he's going to try to get work.
It may not be enough though to get work in Miami. I just don't know if there's enough of a market in Miami for celebrity of his age and vibe to show up to clubs and parties so that he would actually get paid fees. Vegas was a great place for him because I can see some hotel or casino paying him money just to show up, because it makes for a fun Vegas story to see some celebrity, drunk gambling tourists like that shit, and there's tons of money in Vegas and it comes from tourists and gambling (despite Vegas tourism being lower due to Trump and the economy and people being fed up with price gouging).
But in Miami, I don't know if anyone gives a fuck. A lot of people in Miami have money from just working, there are some tourists but it's a fairly young party scene at times, I just don't see a club in Miami making money from more patrons just from showing up, while in Vegas, I think that could happen easily, even as he gets older. I could see him making money in Vegas just for showing up places for another 30 years.
The problem is he's being too nice, and it's not who he is. He was nice in leaving Vegas for his family, but he needs to go back to Sin City where he belongs, stop the delusional religious thinking, and get paid to show up in cooky outfits. But could that TikTok video could be so outlandish it gets enough attention to somehow get paid to show up for things in Miami possibly? I don't really know. No one was thinking about that guy before this, people are thinking about him now.
Yes, I have seen Carrie. It wasn't a new movie when I saw it, but I did see it, and yes, it looked like that. I'm one of the older people on SaSu. Quantum immortality or possibly just lack of skill have somehow kept me alive for a long, long time. With so many failed attempts, I'm pretty sure quantum immortality is true. I'm still planning on attempting again within a year or two or three, even if I expect it not to work.
