  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I have this very weird admiration for public figures who committed suicide out of the blue, regardless the gossip around them or self conviction, it doesn't bother me; Surely most people out side of this forum think the otherwise.

So, what do you guys think of such strange thought came out of ordinary peasant like me? What is it actually then, another mental disorder?

In public life as in suicide, success probably favors certain personalities: ruthless, fearless (dictators // gun, jumping), excellent planning and execution (top notch thiefs like Lupin // N, SN, nitrogen, helium), or decisive, impulsive (brinkmanship // any method, just do it). People think it alright to admire these qualities in successful public figures. But when chance drive them to the other end, people conceal their affection.

Yes, my mind is made up of the exact opposite of the masses (of said healthy mind). People are liking the successful life but deny the suicide, while I'm favoring the suicidal act but feels indifferent to the successful life.

Also heros are those who don't have offspring. They are likely to suffer more being the last generation, but they completely eliminate the chance of further suffering, and the need for suicide, within their ability.

Very true, suffering in life is inevitable, while happiness seems like just a bonus that can't compensate the trouble. I also think parents who exercised their right to breed but can't acknowledge their children's right to die, they might hurt both the children and the parents themselves; it's better to utilize birth control anyway, we're in the era where more people means cheaper labors for capitalism; I don't think anyone will like it when they realize the hierarchy they got in unless they are some narcissistic psychopaths in deep denial from daily realities.

Some cultures require people to proliferate. People are shamed if they don't. In the past the bottleneck might be due to manpower. More people could lead to more productivity, satisfaction and joy. But today more people means more friction. People have nothing else to do. They are busy restricting other people's freedom, banning others. Life becomes meaningless. The society should really support those who volunteer to die and provide them with painless and peaceful methods.

There are many technical jobs already being replaced by robot and auto machinery, there will be much more gonna be eliminated in coming years due to Artificial intelligence and Machine Learning progress. But the ruling class still want to benefit from consumerism and taxes, the pyramid scheme can't go far without steadily increasing population, perhaps this is the prime cause feared by them. If many people can choose to die peacefully, they're afraid the current system will be shaken so hard, the convenience they benefit from suffering people will go tumbling down. Among the richest people, we're certainly not coming inline with their direction. We must make our own way, hence CTB.

Professional jobs (doctors, lawyers...) are also threatened by machine.

Given any well defined task, computers will probably do better. Before computer, people tried to work like machine. The society selected people for good memory (reciting pi to 2000 digits, school exams, rain man) and high accuracy in repetitive tasks (skilled workers, musical instruments). Today is the opposite, machine tries to be human.

One day, machine will point finger at the ruler: you are the bad guy. Dictators don't want that. They will manipulate machine learning to prevent that happen. The virtual world will be just as skewed and messed up as the real world.

The ruling classes really don't care about ordinary people and their complaints. They just want to keep the rusty old machine running. They think they are immune until the situation affects them. Then they set up suicide hotlines and hire prolifers to conceal the problem,
brainwash themselves that life is good, they are good leaders, they deserve the power. They really like power. They want to live forever.
