Help Pen pals or email-friendships

As I'm disabled and housebound, I'd like to know if there are any websites that offer something like pen pals.
Or e-mail friendships, something like that.

I don't have any real friends, my contact with the outside world is online most of the time.

Contact with people from other countries would be great, you could also learn other languages that way.
I come from a German-speaking country.

Of course you can also make contact here, but it's mostly about death.

Well, yes here it's mostly about death/sad stuff due to the nature of the forum. Do you have other interests? Join other forums/groups/chat-rooms be active there and you will find people to chat with. Online-friendships can develop this way!
