• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I just encountered this concept. It's basically a short-term place to stay in crises that's an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization.
Directory of peer run respites in the US: https://power2u.org/directory-of-peer-respites/
Resources for starting one: https://power2u.org/resources-for-starting-a-peer-run-crisis-alternative-in-your-area/

I'm really intrigued and probably going to go down the rabbit hole later.
Anyone have any lived experience or other insider knowledge about these? There's none in my area so I'm considering starting one but that's a big big task and I don't want to put in the work if it's not actually useful.
