It depends on type of cord, do test run and see the cord is able to carry your weight or not, I don't think shoelaces can hold your weight

Strong belt is a good option

I've seen other people mention.
Ripped up bed sheet
Belt
Skipping rope (tough one)
Electrical cord (I'm using)
Not sure about shoe laces. Seems weak.

from what i've gathered, your noose should be made of a thicker material. thin stuff like wires or shoelaces are going to snap. not if it snaps, because it 100% will. my highest recommendation would be a thicker cable (maybe like 4mm at least) but make sure its thin enough to tie a noose. the next best option would be a sturdy belt. i find it's harder to anchor them to things but get creative! always test if it'll hold you by grabbing onto it and putting down your weight. i have more but this seems to be most relevant to you.

If I end up with partial, which is my go to option atm, I'm using my electric guitar cable

I'll give it a shot tonight why not y'all. Is slipknot best or hangman's?
Brave. I wish you peace and rest. Whether in this life or whatever is after.

Depends on the anchor. Length of wire.
Slipknot easier.
I'm using a taut-line hitch
I tried with both slipknot and hangman's, in a door frame. Hangman's sure as hell got tighter and it was harder to unlodge. Didn't hit carotids but don't worry, I'll keep trying haha.

I'm pretty sure i saw the answers for your question in the partial suspension/ hanging threads, i hope this helps you:

"
What type of ligature?
You need a ligature that's strong, but not too elastic. It doesn't
have to be very long, 1 meter or more would be plenty. I'd advise
against nylon rope, string, fishing wire, etc.
Neckties on the other hand, are perfect Smile .

It may also be a good idea to lubricate the ligature with soap. This
would help the noose tighten even quicker, especially if you're using
a rough ligature such as a rope. Lubricating it in this way will
increase the friction once you push your head down and tighten the
noose, and could make it a little more effective and faster."

This is a very useful post but from this + everything else I have read I am still confused about the position of the rope for partial. When I test where I think my carotids are OR below my adams apple, I either can't breath or my head quickly feels like it will explode. What am I doing wrong?
