It will hurt a lot. It depends on how much pain you are willing to take. Partial can achieve the same thing easier and less painful. You just have to get it right.
Hmm someone wrote me who did a partial to full, he stood on a chair and bent one knee to go into a partial, putting more pressure on the neck, then he went full and said he didn't feel pain, went unconscious

Partial or full suspension is the way I would choose. Have been strangled to the point of passing out and the euphoria outweighed the pain. Also passed out on a failed attempt (belt broke) had lots of bruising but the pain was minimal, the disappointment outweighed physical pain

What type of belt did you use? How much do you weigh?

I was about 90 kilos and was trying to ease into it holding on to the beam and lost my grip so the fall was quite sudden, was a leather belt would use a proper noose and rope when I do it.

From my testing I've found that putting the minimum amount of weight on the rope to stop blood flow is best. Just enough to begin the lightheaded/ losing vision feeling.

I caused myself a lot of pain by putting too much weight on the rope/ lowering myself too quickly. It hurts the throat.

Also I pad the rope with something like a towel or soft cloth of some kind so the rope doesn't hurt the skin.

I failed an attempt because I used a tie that broke (this was before I did any serious research) but I did pass out very quickly so I know it's doable.
What position?

I mea

i mean sitting, standing? Etc
I have my back to the door and lower myself down - legs slightly bent not totally kneeling. Noose high enough so I'll hang after passing out.

It'll work - this is the setup I have now with strong rope. Have been testing making myself loose consciousness.

If you feel like your head is filling up and about to explode then you are doing it wrong 100%.
You are not compressing the carotid arteries(deeper in neck) but you are compressing the jugulars. (Easier to compress)

What you have to do in that case is to apply A LOT MORE prressure and apply it faster. So instead of leaning into the rope try pulling hard and letting go of your body.

Then work from there. I know since I don't get that pressure feeling and if I do. I take break, try again but press harder and it is gone.

My problem was that the SWALLOWING FEELING sucks.

Anyone know how to get rid of the uncontrollable urge to swallow even when there is no saliva in my mouth?

Have you tried putting the rope lower or higher on your neck? Or maybe try placing the knot at the front of your neck if it's too uncomfortable.
