To say partial doesn't work is the same as saying full suspension doesn't work, jumping doesn't work, SN doesn't work or shooting yourself in the head doesn't work.
Every method has a fail rate and that depends on the individual. On a forum like this we can only talk about our failed attempts but that shouldn't discredit or disqualify a method because the people who did succeed to CTB with the same method can't post an "I did it!" post. Additionally, the people who have succeeded to CTB likely had many failed attempts with the same method before they had the courage to complete it. All we can do is read the news, read research papers and self analyse our own individual commitment, will or determination to complete CTB to determine the rate of succession.
I know many people on this site have heightened emotions and stress which can cause them to think more erratically and hopelessly, but I think users on this site need to try to read what other people say with a pinch of salt and not take on other peoples personal experiences or information as if it is fact. The internet is cluttered with misinformation, so when someone posts about their failed attempts and they blame the method rather than their own flaws or complexes whilst carrying out the method, it just contributes to more misinformation. It's easier to blame the method than to recognise what you did wrong.
The most common reason for any method failing, including partial, is the person changed their mind, backed out and SI kicked in. For me, that's a personal problem for the individual, not a fault with the method itself.
