I am attempting partial hanging, and at the moment I am a bit worried.

The rope hurts my neck, even though I gradually release the weight, I don't feel dizzy, and even though I know I am hitting the carotid artery, my vision doesn't go dark. I am afraid of having after-effects and having motor and cognitive losses. My neck is scarred and I am afraid of not dying.

What are the chances of suffering from collateral damage? Is it easier to do while in an emotional crisis?

put a pair of socks around your C.A to avoid the pain and marks of the rope, am not a specialist B.T.W, just repeating what I hear on here.

I noticed that the rope has the ideal thickness, it's sliding correctly and that a thicker one would continue to hurt me and make the procedure more difficult. This information is extremely important, thank you for sharing it!

This means you are not compressing your carotid arteries, just your jugular veins. Your head is filling with blood and can not drain it.

My head will be cut off by the laces if I tighten them any further, I'm pretty sure. I'll try a thicker rope.

Rope can be used for many, many things. Is there a reason you think they would immediately assume you are going to try to hang yourself with it? Example: the rope I bought is specifically for boats. So someone would assume I needed it for boat-tyoe activities.

There is a reason, I am a trans woman and I have a very empty expression from crying more than five times a day. I don't look like someone who works with tools and utensils...

I tried a couple of times using thick exercise bands, however was found too soon. I now have permanent hearing damage. I think they were too flexible, which helped with the pain, but wasn't strong enough to be effective. Definitely rope next time.
