I'm sure plenty will come for me for saying this but I swear that a shared community of struggle does not make one suffer more.

From my own experience, when there is a community of people who even might be seeking an end is more comforting than a world of people who refuses to acknowledge that fact.

I felt so alone feeling suicidal with no one to share that feeling with. Sharing methods is nothing more than a precaution for one to not end up in suffering because this world does not give us an option for a fail-safe exit.

If the world censors committing oneself that is just another ruin to human rights.

No one desires death for no reason. No matter how ridiculous that reason is.

And finding salvation is something that a community should put effort into. Instead of silencing everyone, people should have put more effort into finding those around them to save.

I can see the beauty in the next morning's sunshine doesn't mean everyone should. Every day-fall is different to every person. Not spreading love but muting those struggling is unforgivable

Exactly! This is very much a place for love. It is privileged to think one cannot need such environments. It's too selfish.

I hate when they try to bring up the past of the creators/mods as well.

Their history and/or potential ulterior motives for this site weren't the reasons we all ended up here in the first place.

Like you said, they'd rather just attack the site without thinking about why we need it and how it helps people. I feel like most of those people just need to inflate their egos and do their virtue signalling.

You've put this so well, suicide is always going to exist in the world, mental illness, tragedy, suicidal ideation, if people think a website is the main cause of others being pushed over the edge then it just goes to show how stupid they really are. Even before SS there have been groups formed on the early Internet to talk about suicide and methods, if SS was suddenly taken down I'm certain another site similar would take it's place. And even if one didn't, people will seek out suicide regardless, it's almost as if there's deeper issues going on, crazy!

I found this site when looking for effective suicide methods, if SS didn't exist I would still feel the same, I'd still find my information regardless, but I feel comfort knowing I'm not alone in my experiences, as depressing as they are. Feels a little less isolating. I fully believe this site is keeping people alive, despite what others may think.

Yes exactly!!! There would only be more people who would end up attempting in a way which leaves them in possibly eternal pain and spy-ware of people who keeps them alive to suffer.

The true solution to this is only, only, a better system! A government that actually works for its people, a society that allows those ill to have time to be ill (and not have to work themselves till their very soul suffers more alive than dead).
