I tried to make a post on reddit earlier to get support/to vent- not even searching for methods to kill myself. None of the comments I recieved came through and then my post got removed!! I was just looking for support not looking to die. So why does no one let us even look for support? Why are the rules on websites so tight that you are blocked from even getting support? Is there anywhere else on the internet that isn't censored? I'm literally using a vpn just to be able to access this website and I can only access it because I have a weird unknown internet provider no one else has because its been blocked in the uk where I live. It feels like first of all, people would rather us die than get support. Yes I have seen 2 therapists/psychologists and its not working so I'm looking for support from my peers because they will actually tell me the truth unlike some rule following, out of touch, box ticker who compliments you with fake compliments because thats what it tells them to do in their rule book. Secondly some of us will die no matter what support we get. Now that they've made every painless method unavailable, a lot of us will have to die in agony. Some of us will survive the attempt and live on as vegetables or in severe pain and with severe disabilities. So they have taken away all the ways we can get support and have condemned us to an agonising death or agonising life. Who are these cunts and why do they make the rules? Worst part is, we are so suicidal we can't advocate for ourselves. Rn I am a benefits scrounging NEET because fuck society. If they are going to make me live, I'm going to scrounge their resources and be a societal burden. I will probably choose partial suspension hanging though when I get the balls to do it.

Also I saw another reddit post that said that reddit censored this womans post and then she killed herself. Why would anyone censor a suicidal person? I hate our society where people pretend to care about suicide but then don't listen to the people going through it. Fuck all of these people, I hope they die by suicide as well so they no how it feels to be censored and oppressed.

I do like this website though.

Honestly, some people have so much more power that their reality becomes separate from ours. In their reality, naturally, we are nothing, our deaths don't matter, and we are looked upon as animals and resources. It takes energy to think beyond that, it takes using our human nature to think that just because it's different, doesn't mean it's wrong. Sadly, much of these powerful people don't have any incentive to, and the few that do can't outweigh the most that don't.

What you're seeing is powerful people feeling annoyed by a moaning, hurt animal. Its life is worth nothing, so the most that will be done is to kill it, and harvest its remains, if possible.

Honestly, that's why I feel SaSu is almost sort of a magical place: All those animals, those resources, come together and we see how we are all much more than those powerful people make us be. We might not change the social order, but we can change ourselves, and to try and live in a better, happier way, even with the powerful people's impositions. It may be folly, but it is not without reward, and seeing we are many empowers us, makes us not alone, even when we do feel like that. 🧸

Sorry this is happening to you, it's happening to everyone here, the censorship is extreme on social media and in real life. The idea is that if suicidal people can't speak then they don't exist. But shoving things under the rug has never helped anybody.

4chan doesn't censor stuff but it's not a good place for any decent human being to visit. Aside from that maybe Tumblr? I haven't heard much of it, but maybe it will be a bit more lax? If you can, discord servers meant for suicide support won't censor you. Though, they would likely be pro-life and there's probably someone saying "It gets better"/"go to therapy"/"get meds".

I'm also thinking maybe twitter won't censor it because I know there's SH content on there. It's also in a questionable state rn so idk if you'd want to go there.

I'm sorry to hear that and it's also one of the main reasons I (almost) never post on Reddit, the censorship and also the bullshit rules and regulations. SaSu seems to be a good environment to be heard, validated, and be open about CTB or similar topics. I hope you are able to find the safe space in SaSu.

100% true. This is true even in real life. If no one is allowed to say "I hate my life, I want to die" then that means (to everyone) that suicidal people therefore don't exist.
Someone's kid committed suicide this past spring at my nephew's school. No one was allowed to talk about it. The kids at school were not allowed to leave cards or anything because "it is too painful and would remind people of the kid's death". Wow, what a great way to deal with it! (sarcasm). "If we don't talk about the problem, there is no problem to talk about."
fuck all these people, seriously
Also, Reddit is one of the worst platforms for censorship. Also, a lot of people on reddit are deluded. I wonder how they live their lives. They are probably all on drugs. It's the worst right down there with X (twitter) and facebook.

It's the internet as a whole. The UK is the worst for this right now, an overly authoritarian government wants control of it and it is sanitizing and sterilizing the internet. The Online Safety Bill is a dangerous piece of legislation. I think the plan is they really want people to CtB unfortunately. The days of people caring are over. The Assisted Dying Bill passed, you can't even say the word for CtB on YouTube so you can't get any support. It's cheaper for people to die. There aren't any good support sites out here other than this, which is why this one is a patsy: because we probably help prevent people from CtB. Elsewhere it's just meaningless cliches "support is available", "people care". I'm also on benefits and don't care. I've wanted to CtB since I was 13. My life is crap.

Agreed. I'm reminded of a quote from Antonin Artaud. He was making a point about drug laws, but I think it can be adapted to suicidality:

"All the laws, restrictions and public relations gestures against narcotics, assuming their success, will only succeed in depriving the most destitute elements of humanity—who have inalienable rights—of medicine for their pains, of a nourishment more splendid than bread, and of an ultimate method of resurrection."

I think suicidal people kill suicidal people but the GOVmnt just want to take it out of public consciousness to stop us rebelling and make us work till we're 70 with no questions asked. I hope government dies.

It is our duty to keep up these spaces going and create them. The level of comfort I felt after joining this place is out of this world.
I realize why some powerful people would want to shut it down.

This is my view too. They moderate too strictly, stopping us from speaking about how we truly feel then get surprised and shocked that websites like sasu exist.
They created this monster they are afraid off.

Censorship is everywhere and not just from the government. Every private site has a gazillion rules on what can and can't be posted. It's hard to keep up. Often posts are removed or users banned not because they offended anyone, but because mods discriminate against users they don't like. All those rules make it easy for a mod to twist a benign post into one that breaks the rules to justify its removal. But you see similar posts from other users stay up so it's pretty obvious they are playing favorites.

It's grossly unfair but that's OK. It provides further motivation to CTB.

I mean if there wasn't any rules, Mods could basically do what they want and fuck up things MUCH more since there would be nothing against, say, banning an user because they were against their personal beliefs.

Those who twist rules to their advantage would rather have no rules so they can harm willy nilly

They should remove mods that abuse their power. Too many of them are using their authority to discriminate against and censor people for no good reason. It is ridiculous and keeps getting worse. Power is an addiction and they don't care how their actions offend others; they just want their fix.

Yeah, let's tell the mods to remove themselves! That's going to work!
