  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

My CTB method is amitriptyline and I may in a few months have the dosage required to CTB. The PPEH recommends that amitriptyline be accompanied by benzos, but my doctor is overly cautious about prescribing them. Anyone know if there are websites/apps that allow you to get (legal) prescriptions in Canada for benzos? I had a really terrible experience attempting to purchase N, so I really don't want to use the darkweb to get benzos.

Please don't share resources in the thread as that is not allowed - I'm just wondering if this sort of thing exists. I welcome PMs in case people want to share specific sources.

If you have enough Amitriptyline, you don't need benzodiazepines.

There are a couple of online pharmacies in Canada but they require a prescription for everything. I did come across one where there was an option of setting up a virtual doctors appointment to obtain a prescription. Maybe that would work, although I know lots of docs even at walk-in clinics won't prescribe benzos, they make you go to your family Dr. But you could always say you don't have one.
Sorry, I can't remember the name of it but it was one of the top few that came up on google.

I've been doing quite a bit of research on how to access drugs that drs don't like prescribing and most of it is UK based, but one of the things that stuck in my mind is claiming that you don't have a registered GP is a red flag.
I'm thinking softly softly catchy monkey so maybe complain firstly that sleep is really bad and maybe they might let you try melatonin (don't know if that is OTC in Canada) and then go back a month or so later saying it's not helping do they have any suggestions and so on and so forth until they give you the benzos.
Long and complex process though.
Maybe try online Dr services 'working too hard and long hours to get to your regular Dr'.
Kind of thing I have been thinking of.

I don't think there are any documented cases of people surviving the dose I intend to take, but my worry is being in distress/pain given ami's cardiotoxic properties. Do you think the ami would sedate me enough at such a large dose that I'd be knocked out the entire time?

Yes, i took 56x 50mg of Amitriptyline many years ago. I was discovered and remember being extremely drowsy, i ended up on a ventilator because i stopped breathing. That is the main mechanism of action before things like heart block.
