What a trashy article. It's just another smear piece with their focus on people who run this website (thanks for dismissing us moderators though) and a few cherry picked members that decided to exercise their right to die. They don't lose one(!) single word about the right to die as an actual human right, about the ban on assisted suicide in most countries on this planet that gives this website legitimacy, what leads people to commit suicide in the first place and that many of us don't have a perspective for improvement. They don't talk about the overhelming support that's provided in this community. If these journalists think I'd be still here without SS, they're mistaken. But it's painfully obvious that the people who wrote this article never endured suicide ideation once in their life time. They argue from a place of ignorance and misunderstanding and they didn't even try to understand our perspective. It's odd, in this article they talk about us. Why didn't they reach out to some of the members in this community and talk with us for once. Why didn't they seek the conversation and try to understand our point of view? Why didn't they want to give us, marginalized and struggling people, a voice and a platform to talk about the systemic issues on this planet? What are they so scared about? That we give an actual legitimate and convincing case for the right to die? Maybe. I'd be surprised if that wasn't the reason they wrote this dismissing bullshit article without ever actually talking about the presented issues from our point of view. Disappointing but not surprising. The media once again did what it does best.
