Story Officially "dont have a home"

Currently staying in my friends parents place as a roommate until I get my own apartment.
A little backstory: I got in a screaming fight with my dad because he was being insensitive about my brother's friend being suicidal. I told him it was rude and made me upset that we sould say such things and he reacted with yelling and hitting things around him (not me). Later that night I screamed I would kill myself but I honestly just wanted to get out of that house and away from him. Ended up never coming back home so now I'm staying with my friend so I'm not on the streets.
I'm currently searching for a job and finishing my first semester in college which is very stressful at this moment. I don't exactly know what I will or should do at the moment.
I don't want to kill myself in this town, I want to hitchhike to Colorado and do it there.

i'm really sorry to hear that you had to leave because your parents are so inconsiderate .. i'm baffled at the things i hear of people's parents, i just don't know what could make someone act in a such a way. that's really nice of your friend to give you a place to stay, i hope you're able to find a job and get through school but i'm sorry that you had to leave house so abruptly, it's understandable though like some home situations really force your hand but at the same time no one should be put into that situation to begin with
