Looks like he shot to high. It sayys through the temple. He basically blew the top of his head off. He did die and frankly probably wasn't conscious. The problem is depending on the medical care where you live and how long before found you could survive this.

Their face is intact. Their head is a different story (it's pretty gory). It seems like they shot themself through their temple, leading to their head being blown off. I'd imagine they likely were not conscious during that 1 hour and 34 minutes. It's sad how people are forced to do such drastic things to themselves because they have no other options.

Turns out that ad is for magazines that the same site itself sells. A lot of the covers feature illustrations of white women, for some reason, and I can't tell if these magazines are for lovers of forensics, those who have gore fetishes, or both...

Yeah, this is one of the biggest reasons why such means of CTB are an absolute last resort for me!

Regardless of how we live, with very, very few exceptions someone, or multiple someones, are going to find us, and -to the extent possible- I want to leave the world better for those who follow us, and that includes the people who find and have to deal with our corpses.

If I end up having to resort to something like this, I will do what I can to limit who is likely to see me.

Honestly, this is also one of the reasons that more "peaceful" and quick means of CTB should be available to us!

If we have easier access to more peaceful means and quick means to CTB, then less people would take these more violent approaches, which can, in turn, cause others trauma.

Thanks for the link. Having worked in the legal field the vast majority of my working career (pro tip: do NOT become a paralegal unless you can handle seeing what first responders see every day, over and over -- or work in corporate where there may not be blood and guts but I promise you the psychological damage is MUCH worse) this kind of stuff FASCINATES me. It is amazing what information you can glean from a single photograph.
