That really is the key thing isn't it? And that goes way beyond any nail on determinism into the realms of religion and philosophy. Whilst we have to be careful of anthropomorphic principle, the question is: does this organisation of matter/energy into life and consciousness simply arise as a natural counterpoint to entropy? Or is their an underlying reason for the struggle? Is their an end goal? Does life effect the processes we see? What of the observer paradox?

Some philosophies will cite nirvana or the ultimate dissolution of ego. An escape from the race and constant struggle always doomed to failure. An recursive cycles of reincarnation to evolve across lifetimes etc. But isn't the dissolution of ego into nirvana a kind of ultimate suicide? To step beyond nature into...

Yes. This is the Malthusian crisis that we currently face.

And I agree with everything else you posted too :smiling:
"Does this organisation of matter/energy into life and consciousness simply arise as a natural counterpoint to entropy?"
Brilliant idea I think! And perhaps this is a great way to explain quantum entanglement. There is opposition to every interaction. However, then what about string theory? It turns out that energy is distributed in 3 or 4 dimensions, but not in 10 or 26, which is theoretically possible too?
Turns out that nirvana is the infinity which is followed by death.
One energy turns into another and so on ad infinitum. From this point of view, reincarnation can also be explained. Reincarnation is just an endless transition of matter from one kind to another. Therefore, when a person dies, if what he consists of continues to be used, for example, in the ecosystem, then this is reincarnation, and if for some reason a person falls apart into molecules, it is nirvana?

Faust … what you wrote is beautiful.

For it comes from a heart that aches from longing … longing for beauty, for freedom, for love. For winds in one's hair.

For long, lazy summer afternoons. Azure skies. Aquamarine seas. Emerald rivers. For symphonies and dance halls.

Bank accounts do not come into it … not even close. For they blot the light with their commonness and their brutishness. Isn't it so?

I say all this, even though I do not know you at all ... only what you wrote here. That I recognised. From my own dreams.

The ones I had before to learn that it was all just a dream ... It is a gentle night this one.

One wraps a shawl around and slips out as light as a feather bower.

Hardly anyone notices ... the lightness of a step, the curve of a smile.

Soon a new day downs to find someone laying under the apple blossom smiling to a vision of a young girl pirouetting to a piano-peace yet to be composed.

May you have a gentle night.

Hey, so..this is an off-topic question...
Who in the hell inspires your writing? Who inspires you? You are gifted.

Oh my, don't even go there. LOL I'm in the 10+1 camp myself. It's weird old stuff though. But yes, there are some very interesting things with fractal recursion mathematics that just blow the mind. TBH this sort of stuff is beyond 99.9% of people and ALL lay people. Even the mathematicians and physicists that can handle the equations don't really know what's going on. It's fascinating stuff but my opinions on it are really not valid as it's entirely beyond me.

This video is utterly fascinating if you can stick with it. The guy doing it is so enthusiastic!

I always envisaged the concept of nirvana as somehow getting out of the game and going beyond nature, which seems ultimately paradoxical to me. I find that idea both inspiring and terrifying in equal measure.

Hi 'braketimez',

I think your question was for me … I am sorry I have not seen it before now.

An honest answer is that I do not know. I write as it comes. If and when it does … in the depths of night, hidden under the shadow of a sickle moon hanging over the habour. I can see it from my balcony. As Lorca wrote all those years ago '... leave the balcony open.'

I would also like to thank you very much for your kind words.

When I see the light at the end of the tunnel, the clatter of the train immediately becomes audible.

Drastically edited that post down for this comment: my friends since I was a teenager (so like... up to 30 years now) always made the comment that sometimes the light at the end of a tunnel was a light, but most times it was a train (or some variant of that).

Always have loved your dolphin too by the way :)

Sorry for everything else though.

That is the case when we do not come to the light, but the light comes to us...

I said the same thing over a decade ago. I'm still here 10 years later. The survival instinct will constantly manufacture reasons to live, even if those reasons aren't positive or sane. I literally have 0 reaons to live, every second of my life is sensory torture, but yet, I come up with reasons to live. You could be blind, deaf, lacking all 4 limbs and plagued with cluster headaches but if your survival instinct is youthful and robust, you'll somehow manufacture reasons to live.

Sorry, I don't know how it works for me, but seems that my survival instinct works strange. I used to put myself in different dangerous situations. I don't feel fear where it is necessary, but at the same time I can be fearful of situations that technically should not cause fear.

Do you mean the place of my CTB?

Lol no, sorry, I meant where were you thinking of travelling before all this virus stuff escalated to this? I myself was really wanting to travel as I haven't really done so before. It would have been my chance to sort of get away from everything and leave the past behind me.

Long before I just wanted to travel around the world. As many places as I could take. I cannot do that not because of covid-19, but due to other reasons. Covid-19 affects my plans to travel to get N, but even after lockdown I won't be able to select travelling as my lifestyle.
