• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Finally tried to do the right and healthy thing and reached out to a free mental health clinic that was recommended to me.

They called me today and said my symptoms were too acute, they couldn't treat me, and they could only admit me as a patient if I went through an IOP or inpatient program and got a therapists note…..to clear me for therapy. No insurance, no job, and no chance of these people helping me.

Like fuck my brain is this broken? Luckily I've done more SN research and trying to come up with the best method. Until then here's to 200mgs of benydrl

That's so terrible. I've had the same thing happen it was the worst feeling. I wish people didn't have to pay for mental health care, it's so important and people with these issues have a hard time working sometimes.

You might not care, but be careful with the benadryl I had a bad experience. It sucks so much this happened when you wanted help

The mental health care system is a pathetic joke.

Yeah, I agree that real help is hard to come by. Whenever a celebrity commits suicide, all of the talking heads come out of the woodwork saying that help is available...just reach out. The system it totally ill equipped to handle major depression. You can't talk honestly with a psych without running the risk of ending up as an in-patient. And they you have to lie to get back out.

Most of my therapists try to downplay symptoms because talking about them makes people uncomfortable.

SS is one of the few places to have candid discussions.

Are you in America? You don't need insurance to be admitted as an inpatient. If you're unemployed they will try to get you Medicaid. I hope it works out for you.
