Edit in - I just found your post Tanta about the kid. He was tragic. That is terrible. The thing is, since he was all "chirpy" to you, you thought he was ok. Now, think about how many people you interact with. Many, many people struggle with suicidal ideation. It's growing in our society as I type this. If you truly, and I mean TRULY want to help, make more videos discussing this hard topic. And cover it from the person who's suicidals POV. I'm not saying encourage it. I don't encourage it on here. But you didn't *listen* to the people here. You didn't *ask* what was wrong with us.

You assume that because you can get through any troubles everyone else can. You're wrong. If you were right and this forum was the catalyst, people who knew nothing about the forum wouldn't be offing themselves.

Don't just say "oh it's tragic that he jumped in front of a train", say "what the hell was going on that he couldn't handle." The funnier thing is, you said nothing about *why* he did what he did. Just that he found out that he could jump in front of a train from this forum. This forum didn't teach him how to jump in front of a train.

Again, a 17 year olds death is tragic. Instead of blaming the site or even society in general, figure out why. Find out the pain these people feel.

Until then you're just an asshole with an opinion.

Lmao he says this place is unfathomably "bad" and that nobody would believe it is so. Tantacul, this is the Internet, you've been sheltered if you think this forum is bad. For the most part it's a helpful place, it very rarely makes one more suicidal IMO, you are already suicidal when you arrive. If you take the forum away you´ll have the same miserable people killing themselves but without some comfort and information about less agonizing ways to depart.

I agree however that teenagers, being impressionable and impulsive, could be harmed by the site, but so are they by pornography, social media, etc. The Internet harms teenagers period. Suicidal people need a place to discuss how they feel openly and humans collaborate even when finding ways to die.

He's also right about "Cake123", there's something very eerie about that user and many have noticed.

I wouldn't click on that video. That just gives him more views / money and then it might go viral and then that would get people to go against this website so it harms this website imo. It's just a typical smear job against this site lies lies lies . But I didn't click on it , i know what he's saying from what others are posting about it. He's evil lying against this site.

Just another youtuber looking for his niche to make money imo. And an easy target since suicide is so stigmatized.

I don't know why everybody is bumping this thread and clicking on his smear video which is just making his video more popular which is propaganda against this website.

4k views on this thread in 4 hours. That youtuber is using us to make money, more views more money. 4k ads for his video already. Is his video interesting or truth? no.

imo this one and most youtubers are all about money money money views views views.

imo the more he gets us to click on his video this will give him and other youtubers the idea that there's money in smearing this website and maybe even ctb methods . So we are just hurting ourselves making those kinds of videos popular by bumping this thread which gets others to click on his video.

It's like a nuclear fusion chain reaction. He tricked us into starting it imo. He posts video. We bump thread. that makes his video popular which leads to more similar videos and the exponential chain reaction reaches critical mass many viral videos smearing this site.

Every time we click on his video he's laughing all the way to the bank. Everytime we post on this thread it bumps the thread to the top more ads for his video.

I'm not saying the op or those repeatedly bumping the thread did it on purpose. I think it's just a sideffect that his youtube video is getting lots of clicks off this thread.

This youtuber is trying to take away the only place suicidal people have to discuss suicide in a pro-choice manner , kicking already downed people to make money and virtue signal to get pats on the back

I'm kind of shocked sometimes when I remember how much I'm in the majority on topics of suicide. Just looking at the comments on his video reminds me how different the majority feel about it. I guess that adds to the reasons why I hate this world. I even saw one comment comparing this site to the MAID laws in canada and then calling both things utterly vile and evil. Little do they know that they are the ones who are exercising NO empathy at all. Ridiculous...

Well that's because the videos make these people feel good about themselves. They think they're doing something by strictly crusading about getting the site taken down and refuse to actually talk to people and try and understand them. They think "oh just get some help and you'll be fine". No. You won't. You still have to wake up every morning to face this pain.

I've been in therapy for 2 years now, and this isn't my first stint with therapy. The. Pain. Doesn't. Stop. You just get better at hiding it.

The people who come here from this video: you want to help? Listen to people in pain. Ask them why. Don't judge them. Just by doing that, you're doing more than most mental health systems will. And don't act like life is good and magical. Just because YOU think that (and thats fine) doesn't mean someone else will, can, or even want to. They have pain for a reason. They want out for a reason. Read the posts on here and listen to the people who have troubles. We talk about them frequently.

People like the guy in the video are inherently selfish because they want you to live on their terms, not yours. Always remember that. I do not and will not ever tell someone to CTB or or not CTB. I listen and I let them make there own decision.

But what I will say to anyone who is currently suicidal but having second thoughts - remember, there is always tomorrow. And you can wait if you're not 1000000% sure. And if you can't tomorrow too, that's ok. You can take it one day at a time. What assholes like the guy in the video don't understand is that sometimes, there isn't a day where it gets better. And instead of forcing someone to live because you think they should be here, let them choose their own way.

If only they stopped and considered what led us here in the first place. RIP/"BobbyC"/SS.

I'm watching it right now and cringing; such an arrogant perspective. I wish I could say more but ever since I was forced to undergo ECT under the mental health acts that he so lauds, I've suffered cognitive impairment and can't articulate my perspective clearly. Also, there are physical health conditions that many of us are suffering from and were we to live in Belgium we would be allowed to CTB safely with society's approval but since we don't have access, we have to seek out a way to do it ourselves.

I wouldn't click on that video, Clicking on his video is just giving him more views / money / importance . When you give him a view the youtube algorithm ranks it higher and that's how videos go viral. he's nothing but we're making him something by clicking on his dumb video that he put on there to make money. I wouldn't click on that creep's video make him money / sucessfull and hurt this site at the same time if someone even paid me to do it. This site has meant everything to me helping me formulate methods, confirm thoughts i had , the only place reality discussed. I don't think this will lead to anything other than hand wringing, but I find it almost therapeutic to actually discuss these kinds of people. They don't care what you're dealing with, they just want you to shut up.

I'm pretty sure they only allow people who are 50+ onto those forums. I don't know if they require an ID of some kind but I believe they do, counting I haven't seen anyone under 50 on the forums here state that they have access to it. but it's also possible they haven't tried.
