She was conscious yes, she was suffocating and trying to survive by grasping her neck. She died in pain. She fucked up because the noose was not tight and not in the correct place. Her Carotid arteries were not compressed to ensure quick unconsciousness. Regardless of your views on videos like this, it shows how important it is to research your method in depth, and what can happen if you don't.
Perhaps too her hair was in the noose which might have softened the pressure.
The video from the 3:00 to 4:30 shows that she stopped struggling in 1 minute and 30 seconds. According to the suicide techniques compiled at lostallhope.com it supposed to take around 7 minutes.

But why would her body be flinching like that if she was conscious? I've only seen that when they're lights out.

Flinching is different. Involuntary spasming is different. That was a conscious act to grab and hold the blanket. Her technique was off.

I mean.... it's a solution that literally kills you. Of course it's not going to be palatable. Not having to suffer any longer is a small price to pay for the horrible taste.

Table salt is pretty palatable. By all accounts, SN just tastes like table salt.

Does it? It's gonna be my method. Well, either way, I'm so ready to go.

I guess I haven't seen enough hanging videos to know the difference. Just looked very similar. Poor girl . Makes me so sad that she had to suffer tremendously even up to the very end.

I used to watch liveleaks all the time to sort of prepare myself for the possibility. It worked to an extent, the comments section was usually worse then the videos themselves. I do think that this sort of thing should be in a members only hidden forum as suggested above though.

I saw one a few days ago. The hangee was out within seconds. Any movements were involuntary. The difference between the two is night and day.

I agree. I felt for her. Bad way to go.

RIP to the dear woman. Awful that she had to do so. May her soul and heart never be hurt again.
Honour her. She recorded, and other souls can prepare their off better.
Movements seem first unaware due to first slight hypoxia fainting, then a totally on-and-off conscious mix.

The noose never closed so there was only a partial constriction. A tough way to exit.
That is why proper planning is essential whatever the method.

This was brutal to watch. The motions her body make are sickening. I understand that her technique was poor but no one deserves to go out feeling the way (I assume) she felt. Poor woman. May she rest in peace.

That was odd. Can you have involuntary limb movements and still be conscious? I've never seen that before.

Well I'll just say my piece. I have zero interest in watching it. Most of it comes from sources that have worse and not for any educational purposes. This being normalised is a good enough reason to kill myself in itself

I'm more offended with the porn ads on the website than the video... I don't know why people are complaining.

Her loop did not tighten, so that the blood supply to the brainstem through the vertebral artery was not cut off, the video shows that 1 minute
and 30 seconds she was conscious, she just suffocated.
Probably if the loop cut off the blood supply through the pressure
to the brain would lose consciousness in a few seconds.
It looks bad, but it's not much time compared to others
methods. In fact, only the time to lose consciousness counts.
Performed correctly this method is the least unreliable.
It is also one of the most frequently chosen methods.

Yes but I'm wondering if perhaps it took longer than the 1:30 shown in the video.
I don't know. I'm finding it really hard to think about actually. I watched it & I regret doing so- that's all I know. I won't be doing that again I can tell you
