@loopylou have you got any of the eviction threats (from your landlord) in writing?

I only ask because there's laws to protect tenants from breaches of the tenancy agreement before it expires
I got an email saying if I continue to make noise my tenancy could be in jeopardy. I don't understand why they are allowed to send those without any evidence. They are trying to bully me into being silent in my own home as that suits next door better. I'm not allowed to listen to music at a decent level like two hours a week. My dog isn't allowed to bark either. Which she doesn't do excessively . Feels like they just want to keep next door happy.
are you listening to music or playing your own music?
Listening to music or playing the decks. I moved my decks to a room the furthers away from her so two rooms and two thick brick walls away. I can't hear it from my living room and her is next to mine. I even put it up louder than I would usually play and knock on her door I asked her to stand in her living room and listen and she came back to the door and said listen to what? I can't hear anything
Okay, let me please you - you are a fool if you do this. I would fall in love with you, you know? If I wanted to. You can live happily. If they fall in love with you, you will be the happiest in the universe.

I just hope no one reads this message. Because I'm drunk. Sorry.
I have no fucking clue what your trying to say, sorry

Best way to solve this is to approach the annoying cunt with a some pastries and get yourself to genuinely want to help them satisfy their need of "calmness" (in this example).

@loopylou have you considered buying a pair of headphones? I prefer listening to music that way anyways as a way to temporarily escape from reality. what's a deck?

Please stop undermining people's desire to ctb. People ctb for different reasons world wide.

Most people don't ctb over love. Life can be unbearable in so many ways. Compared to some people on this forum you have it really good. Not judging, I'm the same.

Please stop invalidating other people. I relived my personal hells several times to explain why I'm here and you kept dismissing me.

It really doesn't help suicidal people cope when you invalidate them. That's counselling 101

OP I'm really sorry you are in this situation. If you dont ctb and the landlord does evict you have you got somewhere else to go?

I got headphones but I listen to music that needs to be through a proper speaker. Techno and drum and bass sound shit through earphones. I'm literally not doing anything wrong. The landlord said this the last time she reported me but they want to resolve it and their idea is to tell me to remain silent to keep her happy over telling her she's wrong.

Thank you for this post.
Love does not solve my ' problems'. I don't want to be loved, think that's the part you are missing

I am very sorry for your situation. Landlords are rentiers who take advantage of disadvantaged people. Housing should be a right, not an obligation. I'm sorry you're leaving so soon. I'll be around here. : _ (

I mean, I'm not trying cause any issues for you, but I would fire back immediately with:

Dear Landlord,
Thank you for your email. Can you please clarify the following three points:

  1. Was your previous communication a personal suggestion that my tenancy could be in jeopardy if an official noise complaint is made?
  2. Was your previous communication a warning (from landlord to tenant) that my tenancy could be in jeopardy if an official noise complaint is made?
  3. Are you in receipt of any official noise complaints submitted or notified to yourself, by the local authority, or any other governmental enviro-crime department?

Thank you for your assistance with this matter as I await your reply.

Signed,
Your rent-paying tenant, in possession of a valid tenancy agreement, that's protected by law

If thing's escalate between you and the neighbour, and your landlords still breathing down your neck, I'd strongly encourage you to contact your local Citizens Advice Bureaux. You can give them your personal details and explain what's going on, and they'd be able to give you free advice (about your rights, the best thing to do, etc) that's specific to your case

Thank you very much for your detailed reply. All of those question I asked over a telephone conversation but not through actual letter or digital communication. I'm so tired of it :(

You really don't deserve this, your home is meant to be the one place where you can at least feel safe and secure :aw:. Shame on your neighbour ratting you out like this.

Nonethelss; here's a latecomer to support you, when the time feels right to CTB. We may not have spoken but your likes have always brought a smile to my face, especially on those off-days .
