I made a very good vegan curry the other day. I don't usually like curry and I am rubbish at cooking curry. But this one time wow!

edit: Oh and at the Starbucks drive-thru they gave me a free vanilla latte with the drink I already ordered because they accidentally made an extra. How nice of them.

I just went for a walk and

- saw a little bird chirping and hopping around in a tree
- watched a big swarm of birds passing by
- noticed that there is dog poop everywhere suddenly (some with shoe prints) which made me chuckle.

I also realized again that depression is an effective diet.

A person at the place I volunteer at said it was nice to see me and asked me how I've been since we last met. Probably wasn't a big deal, but it sounded really genuine and made me feel appreciated.

I made myself mashed potatoes mixed with a big carrot earlier and it was surprisingly delicious.

I was biking earlier at sunset on a trail I hadn't been on in a while. I saw sheep, deer and a pheasant. The sunset, clouds, colors in the sky and the reflections on the ground (the meadows were a little flooded) were like something out of a storybook.

Still, all I could think about was death.
