No, N is not "easily available" in Mexico anymore. And it most certainly is not sold "no questions asked by any pharmacy". That's complete and utter BS and you shouldn't spend your money on a 2 week vacation with the only goal of trying to buy N. If you want to go on a vacation though, by all means... it's a beautiful place to visit.
The PPeH describes different places that used to sell veterinary N to people in Mexico, but it also clearly states that those who successfully purchased, did so years ago (as in 2012/13/14).
Mexico has caught on to this "suicide tourism" and pharmacies as well as vet clinics are much more careful when it comes to this. Especially in coastal tourist areas.
And don't forget: they too are struggling to source veterinary N due to the global shortage.
That's one reason for D to have stopped supplying. He simply can't get the product and the same applies to legal sellers.

I think once the shortage resolves, he may get back into it.
In the end, it was a high-return business he was running, but small enough to be insignificant to officials. They have bigger fish to fry.
So, yes, unless D finds another gig, he or some new letter-person will be back eventually. But that could take a year.

They don't… There has been posts of people going there, they give detailed accounts of now it's not that easy, and some came up empty handed even with bribes. Not to mention, why would pharmacies carry the stuff to put down animals. OP also states the PPH removed the "every pharmacy in Mexico sells it" section of the book, because of "backlash" but doesn't cite any sources or their announcement. That announcement would have been posted here like dozens of times. We all want N, but we can't be naive and or spread misinformation.

That's not true. Not every pharmacy does sell it. But if you go around enough you can definitely get it.
Yeah, they do not just sell N that casually :(...not to say someone coudn't get it cheap there. It just wouldn't be sk easy.

I believe it's impossible to obtain in Mexico now.. although I've not tried myself, just what I've read. According to the most recent PPH you'd stand a better chance in Peru, and this is what I'm considering.. I can't go anytime soon, due to my mental state but if I ever feel well enough I will give it a go. Considering brining it back with me but don't think this is realistic.
