So I have a plan but I am scared that the gun shop would find out about my hospitalizations. Is that even possible? I don't want to live past 2025.

Just try , the worst that will happen is that you will be denied ownership.

That's worthwhile information to have regardless. It's a very high probability that you will be flagged because hospital visits are tied to insurance, social security, a number of other factors that they check for in the federal data-base.

i was unable to get a gun due to my involuntary hospitalizations. the gun shop owner told me i could try & lie abt it on my background check/gun application, but that he didn't know what would happen. i decided not to lie bc it's a federal law to input involuntary hospitalizations into their system, & getting arrested/interrogated by cops wasn't smthg i was willing to risk.

ended up having to settle for a diff method bc in order to reinstate my gun rights i'd have to go through an arduous legal process, & it might not even get approved ://
