I told her about SN. She said she read horrible stories about SN. People having a death battle for 2 hours, having extreme pain for 2 days, etc.

Is it true that SN is not a painless death?
These stories make me anxious to go through with it.

Just for clarification, my mom is willing to help with CTB if there is no hope left

Edit: Nevermind guys. It was not SN it was NaNo3

From what is written on Wiki, it shouldn't be that painful. I expect mild headache, dizziness, feeling tired. Today one guy made thread about his experience with SN, you should read it. Apparently he wasn't suffering.
My understanding is that your cells will just stop transport oxygen and then you faint. Rest is going on while you're unconscious

Done properly it will be a peaceful death. If you fail, at worst you will vomit the stuff out, and it shouldn't cause any permanent damage.

Sodium Azide is only slightly less peaceful than SN on the PPH scale. Chances are they didn't follow proper procedure.

these salts all have similar names, but nano3 is not SA.

Ah yes, it's NaN3 my bad. 03 is Nitrate, which can still be lethal at huge doses. Definitely not recommended.

Not necessarily true, it's a heavy carcinogen in much smaller doses than is required to ctb so there's a decent chance if you survive and choose to go on living long term you'll get cancer. All methods have shit consequences if failed, it's something I struggle to come to terms with myself :(

If you survive just try again right?
I think shes serious about it, yes. She says that if I tried everything possible and I'm still suffering that its better to put me down.

I am not sure how painless and quick SN is but I want you to know that encouraging CTB is a criminal offense in the US. If someone finds out your mom is supporting you in she could be arrested

This is true to a degree- my BFF took her own life due to chronic severe illness and her mom did know she planned to so they asked a bunch of questions and all was fine- my friend left a note. HOWEVER she had to do everything herself- buy the supplies, do the act herself, etc. had her mother helped her physically or been there during the act, she would have been in trouble.
OP- I totally missed the part about your mom helping- if you mean assisting you or being there at the end that's a crime in most first world countries. Please be careful xx

I havent looked into that method yet. My mom could also help me with euthanasia. For now we're just trying to assess if I want to continue my life. It was going really downhill because of Insomnia but I seem to be doing a bit better now.
