Thought as much, and am really sorry, HitchHiker. It can still happen via the microchip of course, but unfortunately it's out of your hands now. You did all you could. Here's hoping for a future with inbuilt gps trackers on our cats and the right to ransack people's property when we're out looking for them.

Wish you solace and that this somehow still turns out well.

Just to give an update. She still hasn't returned. I've done everything I can to find her. She's just vanished and I am so so heartbroken.

So sorry. :'(

I'm so sorry this happened. I just lost my baby angel (she passed away) and I'm devastated. So I can feel your pain
I can only wish that you find your baby, and that she comes home soon.
I hope she's safe wherever she is.

No, still no news. The weather here is shocking. Storm after storm. Snow the last couple of days. People say not to underestimate her and that she will survive but my hopes of her being alive are diminishing. Everyone Within a 1 mile radius has had a leaflet through their door. There are posters everywhere. Advert in the paper and everywhere on social media.
I don't want her to be dead, but I could deal with that better than this. At the moment I have no closure. I'm worrying constantly, is she scared? Injured? Trapped? Being tortured? Used for dog bait? All these awful things are just going through my mind all the time. I cannot rest. It's been over a month now.
Thank you for the kind words everyone x
Wow, what an idiot that person is for making a joke like that.
Never mind, karma will repay that person in kind....

There's been a few more sicko's since. Don't know what's wrong with these people.
Sorry to hear it, HH. The odds are still in your favour though, apparently more than 75% of cats with a microchip are returned to their owner even after extreme amounts of time. Also discovered that female cats only tend to wander around 230m from their house, so even if she is stuck somewhere she should still be in the vicinity and able to find her way home. Hope everything will be okay soon.

This sounds promising, trying to hold on to that, thank you.
I keep checking back to see if she has returned yet. What is her name, so could get her energies out into the atmosphere easier. I am spiritual so could tune in and do some energy work to try and connect with her.
I have PM'd you

Please keep your hopes up. I read yesterday about a cat who was returned home after 14 months. He'd been living in a warehouse not far from home. It was a pet food warehouse and he'd plainly made the most of it.
I'll keep sending "homeward bound" energy toward your kitty. x

Well even if something happened to her the mere fact that she was allowed to roam outside made her life much better compared to strictly indoor cats. So she was lucky anyway, regardless of outcome.

I'm sorry to read about this, it's always terrifying when they go missing for days on end. But she might still be alright. I had a cat once that returned home a whole year after disappearing on us, so it can happen. It's not going to be any less worrying or scary, but I hope yours returns to you a lot sooner.

I wish I had put a gps collar on her.

Wow, a year! Do you know where it had been?

At the time we lived surrounded by mountains so we were sure he'd gotten into trouble further up, but as it turns out lots of female cats in the town nearby were starting to pop out kittens looking just like him, so we're pretty sure someone in town started feeding him and that's why he took so long returning. That happens a lot, that people feed cats that aren't theirs and can be part of why yours is still not back. Someone might have fed her and now she might be begging food of them and others nearby.

What a heartless thing to say.

He was a troll.Or at least I hope so because the other stuff he was saying on other threads was extremely upsetting and I hope it wasn't true.

Only just found this thread. Sorry your little kitty is missing. I just wanted to add I had a cat who went missing for 3 months, we put out flyers but there was no sign of her and I'd just been coming to terms with her loss and then I got a call from a family in the same village saying the cat they'd adopted looked like our cat in the flyer. Turns out she'd been hit by a car 3 months ago but this kind family had called the vets, fully paid for emergency surgery, and been pampering her back to full health ever since. They did give her back and I refunded them for the vets but I say this just so you can hear, that there's definitely cases of pets being reunited. Many in fact. And even if this family had never seen the flyer, my cat would have been safe with them.

This is a really nice story to hear thank you. I'm sorry your kitty got hurt but so glad there's a happy ending. What lovely people they are. I'm really struggling to move on from this, she is my best mate. Not giving up though.

Omg lol! That's crazy :pfff: did she go back to u or did u just leave her with the new family. Cats do tend to choose their people but it doesn't mean she didn't like u. I had this happen with an adult cat I adopted. He found a different owner nearby lol! He just wasn't that into me.

We left her with her new family . Quite a bit of time had elapsed and we'd got over losing her.
