Venting My friend's brother killed himself

2 days ago my friends younger brother killed himself so I've been seeing him post about it and it's really confirmed that the greatest form of suicide prevention for me is seeing how it hurts others. Seeing my friend post these photos of his brother smiling like he doesn't have a care in the world, seeing him say his brother was his best friend and the best thing in his life. I'm very close with my sister and just imagining how she'd feel if I did it. My parents too, they care so much and I just know they'd blame themselves. And I know my friends would be so hurt too. I can't do that to my sister. She doesn't deserve to go through that kind of pain of losing her little brother.

Thank you. I've always stayed alive solely for the sake of my loved ones but in the past 2 years and especially after this, it's only become clearer to me just how important it is that I stay alive, so that my family doesn't have to go through something like this.

My friend's family is in another country so I won't be able to visit but I will continue reaching out and offering my support for my friend.
