My friend saw me scrolling down a post on here. I was literally just sitting on my phone, minding my own business, when he started screaming at me about how shitty SanctionedSuicide is and went on a rant about how terrible it is that a website like this exists etc etc. And then he started talking about how, and i quote "SanctionedSuicide is the same bullshit as watchpeopledie, it's just a website full of masochists who like to see children die". I dont agree with that at all. I really fucking hate people like him. How the hell is ss even remotely similar to wpd?

Unlucky. :( I've been able to browse this site plenty of times in class without anyone criticizing me over it~ You can disable the website banner in settings if you wish~ That could help maybe~

Documenting reality would be a better comparison for WPD I think. Sasu has no comparisons, r/suicide is a distant comparison at best.

And r/suicide is not even as open to discussion as this forum is. Been on there a number of times and yeah, definitely don't like the place.

As someone who regularly uses WPD, I don't really think that this site and that is similar. That site has a lot of people (who are not necessarily depressed or want to kill themselves) and I mean people share videos of death etc. but it is not even focused on suicide someway. But I have to admit there are a lot of videos that I found educative.

Lol, no way. WPD is 50% morbidly curious or early-stage suicidal folks, 50% sickos and freaks. There are websites even worse than WPD, honestly. Certain forums about internet drama (that I won't mention by name) have far more toxic communities than either SS or WPD. SaSu is one of the nicest communities I've ever browsed, for real.
