My family wondered why i dont celebrate my birthday

I told them straight up that there's nothing to celebrate nor be happy about

The only day that I will celebrate is the day I die, a birthday is just a reminder of the horrible existence I was forced to endure for another year.

Hopefully this is my last birthday

Fuuuuuck I hate my birthday. I want zero attention. Having to sit there for the most excruciating twenty seconds while I listen to people telling me to be happy… it's awful. People who betrayed me telling me happy birthday like everything is normal..ya I'm with you, op.

Birthday was always miserable because it made me realize how little people liked me. I don't want the requirement of attention withot anyone following through

I changed my birthday on fb so people wouldn't get notified

I understand, I feel the same way, it's just another year of suffering in this cruel, torturous existence and more than anything I wish I was never burdened with this existence, I find it the most terrible tragedy how this existence was even imposed causing all this harm and suffering as a result with no limit as to how much one can suffer, I'd just never wish to exist no matter what rather all I hope for is non-existence.

I was raised Jehovah's Witness. They don't celebrate birthdays. That's one good thing I guess, but not for the reason they would expect. It sounds horrible to me, all the expectations, attention, disappointment. I was spared all of that.
