No, my blueish skin turned normal when I woke up, also I do not feel any brain damage. If I had not vomited I would probably feel them now.

This is precisely why there is a sticky at the top of this subforum saying not to do this. Members have died from ingesting tiny amounts of SN on a "test". This is not the way to test it. Use the blood or aquarium test. Do not ingest any unless you want to risk dying. I guess this post and the responses just goes to show how many people pay attention to the stickies...

Yes it was one teaspoon. There are 3 teaspoons in a Tablespoon. 1.4 Tablesppoons is 4.2 teaspoons, and this is 25 grams. 25 grams divided by 4.2 teaspoons means that there are 5.95 grams in one teaspoon of sodium nitrate. I did read correctly and I did the math correctly- 1 teaspoon of sn is 6 grams.

OP said "around half of a teaspoon", so i think approximately 3 grams.
