• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I've come to realize that sharing your problems with others at least for me, is a bad idea.. Most pple out there do not have your best interest at heart, sharing your problems with em will only make you vulnerable. They will start looking down on you, shame you and spread gossip about your struggle..The best course of action is to just close your mouth and keep your problems to yourself..also telling others about your woes will only stroke their egos coz they'll feel that they are better than you... What we don't realize is that most pple we deem as friends are enemies in disguise the so called freienemies.

This reminds me of 2 sayings I came across recently..

1.Dont tell your problems to others 80%are glad that you have them and 20% don't give a crap about your problems.
2.Life is a lot better when they know nothing about you..

Schadenfreude

There's psychological power games going on all the time in human interaction. Everyone experiences schadenfreude. Your loss of power makes me feel more secure in mine. Being aware of it is good but it doesn't erase the initial satisfaction in anothers failure. I have low self esteem so I really notice that initial satisfaction. Then I'll feel guilty and try to rectify it by putting myself down or raising the other person up. This happens to me IRL not so much online where we have more time to think about what we say.

It is good to be careful about what you reveal and to whom. Don't bear your heart to a stranger. Take note of how different friends react to something undesirable befalling you, even something like telling them you're depressed. Some people are bad at hiding their schadenfreude. Bad at noticing it and redirecting it in themselves. You'll know not to be open with those people again.
