Disclaimer: this is how I want my CTB to go, but to be clear, this is just a product of my imagination rather than reality... your mileage may vary... things could be or could not be like this... I don't know for sure
Imagine being atop a skyscraper, more than high enough to guarantee your death, it's deep into the night… perhaps you've downed a couple drinks or taken a few drags of your cigarette as your eyes survey the landscape... you reflect upon your existence, the good and the bad... the pain will be over soon, but you soak up your last moments of consciousness... you breathe deeply the fresh air which asks nothing of you but to just be... it swirls around you and you relish in its embrace... the sun will rise no more... your life will demand nothing more of you as it is about to end... the king and the beggar will both one day return to the Earth, and you take solace that you will no longer have to exist in this meaningless, cruel, apathetic pecking order with your vindictive fellow beings... it's late at night, and the stars and moon are your only companions…no little cretins running around telling you not to jump... there will be no freaking out and screaming as you fall... just the soothing silence of a sleeping world and an indifferent universe... no more asinine arguments about reasons to live... no more platitudes... no more life is beautiful... you were brought into this world against your will but your escape is in your hands finally... freedom lies just across the edge.... no more of anything at all... no more friends and family selfishly begging you to stay... no more being torn apart by the misery of it all... rather than curse the Gods that you must continue to suffer, you are finally at peace knowing you are moments away from death… relief washes over you as the cool night breeze sifts through your hair and the warm fabric of clothing presses against your skin… your trembling fingers reach into your pocket and draw out your airpods, popping open the perfectly white plastic case, glinting in the moon light... you slide the little devices into each ear and pull out your phone, clicking unpause... listening to Christmas Kids by ROAR… before you jump you take in one last view of the city and then you let go… falling through the cold nighttime sky, weightless, as you plummet towards the concrete below… your body, already tense and wracked from years of suffering, is relaxed in its final moments... your eyes are teary as you let go of the life you had and the life you could've had... you've thought about this for years... aching and writhing for it... waiting and hoping things might get better but they didn't... peace and oblivion is finally here... with death comes mercy
I wish I had access to the roof of a really tall building at night to CTB from
Gosh I can't wait to CTB
