I am really worried about anxiety/distress/pain/discomfort in my last few minutes... and I'm worried that these last few minutes will replay in my consciousness. To do my best to avoid that, I'm creating a playlist of songs that I share beautiful memories with. Some are sad, but still bring back nice, simple memories:

1. My Secret Life - Leonard Cohen
2. Perfect - Smashing Pumpkins
3. Shame - Smashing Pumpkins
3. Can't Sleep - K Flay
4. Muzzle - Smashing Pumpkins
5. Where Is My Mind? - Pixies
6. Nocturne op. 9 No. 2 - Chopin
7. All Apologies (Piano instrumental - lullaby version) - Nirvana
8. Lithium (Piano instrumental - lullaby version) - Nirvana
8. Be Quiet and Drive (Acoustic) - Deftones
9. Wicked Little Town (from Hedwig and the Angry Inch) - Breeders cover
10. Ready to Start - Arcade Fire

Still compiling... I hope to listen to at least these before I take SN or N. Music has been such a companion to me in my life, and I want to leave my life with the beautiful memories that these songs have brought me through the years. Still haven't decided which song I will actually play while I'm actively CTB.

I like your playlist. I'm ctb tomorrow and working on one of my own. Music has been one of the loves of my life. I wish you well in wherever life takes you.

Is your screen name a reference to the Hole song? That's one of my all time favorite albums. I distinctly remember listening to it on my disc man at the back of the bus in high school. Still listen to it now.

It is totally a reference to Live Through This. Imo, that's Hole's best album. I might add "Rockstar" to my list - I used to listen to it on my CD player in high school and would walk the halls with a baggy black hoodie and puke green hair. My life has changed a whole hell of a lot since then lol. So many good songs on that album.

Lol I had purple hair and was super into Liz Phair (still am). So much good music in the 90s. Some really shaped my world views. I also didn't know the breeders covered Hedwig. I'll have to look that up. I love both the Breeders and Hedwig. I particularly love that song.

Lol I contemplated purple hair a lot, but that was after my foray into green hair and my mom was not gonna have any of it. So I just let my green hair wash down to a sickly yellow, which was so much better of course :). My mom was a really kind, loving soul and apologized to me for a lot of her behaviours when I was in hs, by the way - I'm just reminiscing nostalgically and not at all complaining.

Please listen to The Breeders' cover and let me know what you think :). It's such a beautiful cover. Hedwig is a brilliant work of art. It taught me so much about myself and made me question different things in my life each time I'd watch it - kind of like queer folklore, haha

You might really dig this 3 hr improvised guitar piece tribute to Pat Metheny playing along with a Metheny track, And btw, go this dude's YT channel (hilarious name too) and ck out his KILLIN ZZ Top's "La Grange"--and the goddamn pig people walk by just ignoring the astounding musical talent playing/gifting them. Philistine pigs. All I'm gonna say. Since N can take some time or SN or whatever, I chose a longer piece, and no commercials. I'd hate to die during a YouTube commercial for some colon cleanser. Ecccchhh.

Here's that 3 hr piece. Great background! www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGxSMbpVF8M
