I'm really sorry for your loss. Pets are amazing companions and nobody should ever dismiss their passing as a small thing. If it is any consolation, it seems like it was quick with little suffering. From the photos and the way you speak about him, it seems he was very well-loved and knew it during his life.

Thank you. Yes it was most likely instant or almost instant so at least he didn't feel much pain. He was extremely spoiled and he loved it.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I lost my pup late last year and even though I have a new pup, nothing can take the place and fill the sadness left by my pup. I think about her daily and look at photos of her frequently. She would sleep under the covers with me. She'd always sleep on my pillow when waiting for me to come to bed.

Ive been pulling furniture aside and throwing things around in a blind panic at not knowing where things are. Problem was i had two moves within the last year when i had to move and my mum also died so theres stuff ive yet to find thats so important to me. I know its there but i just dont know where. Anyway i managed to find an actual photo of BAXTER WITH BOTH EYES. I wanted to add, unfortunately, because he really was way way cuter with one eye. Image not sooo great sorry.

The post this comment is about I don't understand either. Surely it'd be better to put your pet in a rehoming center (I'm assuming this was an option - apologies if not), even if it got euthanized after a certain amount of time if not rehomed and the conditions were not as good as someone's home, they are still fed and sheltered at these places and at least they'd have a chance. The mind boggles tbh.

Op sorry for your loss. Seems it's not uncommon with cats to be run over, I've picked a neighbours dead cat up off the road after being run over and that driver didn't stop either. All the best I wish you well.

I know this might seem like a small thing but it litreally broke my heart I still can't stop crying. He was hit by a car I heard the bang but when I got to him he was already dead. He was completely limp I felt shattered I didn't know I could love an something so much until that cat. He is litreally my pfp on this is gonna miss him so much sorry just had to post to rant a tiny bit.

Brutal, good cats are hard to come by these days. My dad had a cat for over 14 years until he ran away and we never saw him afain. Got 4 cats since then to fill the void I guess.

I am so unbelievably sorry. I lost my childhood cat (parent's cat) to coyotes a year ago and I remember how angry and sad I felt. I know that doesn't even begin to compare to what you must be feeling right now. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I can't imagine how utterly shattered I'd be if I lost my current cats. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your cat looked so young. It breaks my heart when such innocent beings die so young in a brutal way. One of my cats died too 2 years ago but from old age. It really affected me especially when I saw her lying there lifeless :(. Pets deaths are the worst.

In the UK if you hit a dog then by law you have to report it. But not for cats. It's so wrong and no decent human would hit a kitty and just carry on. I hope that person get a big smack of karma.

I am an animal lover and I really miss my cool cat what died, but you do realise you have have had a bigger response from people who are killing themselves haha just a thought , RIP pussy.

Life is cruel so why do we still have children, I wish I wasn't born into a violent abusive relationship, why do they have children so they won't be beaten, why the fuck would you want to have a child with a person with no sense of humour and a violent cunt, there should be a law, my main trouble is he died when I was 11 so I never had the chance to torture him and his family (wankers) well that's my vent over, lol
