First, let me say that this is my opinion. You may not agree with it and that is your prerogative. I am an adult, I am over 21 years of age and have lived long enough to know that my life will not get better; I will not wake up tomorrow and everything will work out for me. For the past 30 years, my life has been nothing but a shit show. (I love that term) I've not been able to live my life the way I wanted, I will leave this crappy ass world the way I want. I've been on many suicide sites where all they do is shove shit down your throat about how life gets better yada yada. I am so grateful that this site is here. I can say out loud that I want to die; that I want to take my life. There are no repercussions, no threats of calling the police, of putting me away. I feel freedom here I've not had before. Thank you.

Charcoal, alcohol, medications - I can't go until my little girl (my cat) goes first. She is dying from liver cancer.

I also hate toxic positivity, it really is so insulting when delusional people invalidate the cruel reality of this existence where there is unlimited potential to suffer and say that things get "better". No, all that is inevitable in life is suffering, loss and decay, and it's very much understandable wishing not to delay the inevitable. Life certainly is a futile struggle that leads to nowhere but death anyway. I wish you the best, this world is undeniably such a hellish place.

I agree. I'll be here for a while - I'm waiting for my cat to pass (I know that sounds crazy). My anxiety talking about dying is alleviated - I am so grateful to have people around me who "get me."

I like this site too , have you been banned from reddit suicide watch , ive been , those poeple are so disconnected. I wanted to kill myself more when the permanently banned me. Then im here and i feel a little bit better.

Every person has a right to their worldview and life experiences and they are all valid and if a person wants to die so be it nothing wrong with that because only they know themselves. People are not robots to make babies do traffic jams go to jobs they hate and be miserable for 80 years. It's absolutely pointless. Yes, fully agree and before I found SaSu (even before reddit banned subreddit SaSu), I always got irritated at the toxic positivity and of course, the annoying stupid hotline number being plastered everywhere whenever the topic of mental health or suicide comes up. I first found SaSu subreddit when I perused through topics related to criticizing the psychiatric industry and critical thinking, and just stumbled upon it. After SaSu subreddit was shut down and this forum created in 2018, I lurked around and was active on TTG subreddit (the refuge subreddit after SaSu sub went down), then joined in August 2018. Ever since then, I consider SaSu my sanctuary, my safe space where I am able to criticize the mental health system, psychiatry, and connect with a community of similar minded people, who respect bodily autonomy and freedom of speech.

The assumption is that we are kids who must be forced to value life and never think about the absurdity of it all. They want us to be unquestioning robots who are born go to school get a job make babies buy toys(cars/houses) worry about politicians ambitions framed as your personal problem. Then die. Or rather be killed by doctors and scientists as they take your money as they sell you hope of nothing

Btw, I held on for my sweet doggie. She passed from cancer 6 months ago, so I'll be CTB'ing soon. Cherish the time you have left with your kitty. (Hugs)

Thank you. I appreciate it. I held on through the holidays so as not to tarnish them for my family, but I'm getting my affairs in order now.
