ive recently started to feel a bit more hope and have been trying a lot more to recover and something i noticed at least for me was music really was a major determinant in my mood and i kept finding myself having my day or mood ruined just because i listened to a song that was sad and spiraled from it. i decided to make a playlist with a bunch of songs instead that are neutral and some good ones because i dont want to make myself overly happy to where i cant think properly (already something i struggle with). i may add more songs to this post if people are interested (music is different for everybody and i dont want to link something accidentally that makes somebody feel or be reminded of bad times) but i wanted to link my favourite song of all time. i checked around and most people i saw seemed to agree the song is weirdly calming and comforting, moreso just a beautiful song overall.

i also am sort of making this post because i at least want people to know im trying to recover so if i ever fall back down maybe it would help me feel pressured to make the people who see this proud to keep going with recovery, but i also just think this might help somebody out there whos the same as me.

if you guys know any other songs that are similar or are good recommendations for the playlist please let me know, its kind of short right now.

I mean this is pretty generic. I think if you just put like calm or meditation music on youtube there are going to be a lot of results.

I recommend personally lindsey stirling, she has some good positive music. or Maybe lofi. I will leave some link that I hope help you.

This is lofi girl:

Lindsey stirling - Artemis music video -

Lindsey Stirling - The Arena ( My favorite) -

Meditation Music -

Also maybe a good way to look for it is RPG music like this:

IDK if that was exactly what you were looking for, but I hope it helps

those are good! i think the thing that sucks for me tbh is i used to listen to a lot of lofi but a lot of the songs just made me feel sad so i had to stop listening to it. it's really nice music though!

selected ambient works is one of my favorite albums ever. if you're looking for more downtempo ambient electronic music, try checking out boards of canada if you haven't already. some song recs for the playlist: turquoise hexagon sun, roygbiv, aquarius, rule the whirl. that's all from their album music has the right to children. if you like that stuff, be sure to check out their albums geogaddi and the campfire headspace.
ulver's album perdition city also might be kinda what youre looking for, the first song off that album, lost in moments, is one of my favorite songs of all time.
also, check out portishead, they have vocals so if thats not your thing thats okay, but their first album, dummy, is really great and fits into this theme.

something a little different that you might enjoy, try checking out mogwai. their album mr beast (yes thats actually what its called lmfao) has some great tracks. auto rock, glasgow mega snake, and travel is dangerous, all come to mind as standouts.

i hope you enjoy some of the stuff here, happy listening!

its 100% in my top 3 and maybe at #1 ive been a fan of richard ever since i was a little girl i remember hearing his music for the first time, it was avril 14th and the person next to me on train forgot to put their headphones in when listening and i told him that he forgot and asked him what the song was and for the next probably 3 months i "worked" (random things that people would pay me for, usually my parents) until i was able to go and buy drukqs for my ipod and fell in love since. and thank you so much!!!! i was meaning to look at boards of canada since ive heard theyre also signed to warped i think, those songs are really nice. ive heard of porishead somewhere but ill check them out, lyrics are good i just honestly love hearing the instrumental for songs more, though im not sure why. i will also check out mogwai! i had to reread that a few times because i didnt know if i read mr beast right lol

I've been listening to Japanese idol stuff. I'm talking full on cringey "doki doki I love you kawaii" bullshit.

• Umapyoi Legend
• PON PON PON
• Drop pop candy
• Happy Synthesizer

Just to name a few LMAOOOOOO Not for everyone but I've been head banging to these sickeningly sweet jpop songs

That's my go-to upbeat album. All his stuff works for a positive mood but this album is my favourite. It's just...nice.
