I played one for years and fell in love with another one until it shut down.

In the main one I played, to permanently delete a character, you had to suicide. There were a lot of good and bad memories and I just thought it was time to move on. They changed the way it was done, I guess to seem less insensitive or more PC.

I thought about getting back into one, not sure which, but wanted to see if there were any fans on SaSu.

I guess this hints at my age a bit...

I never had the opportunity to play any of those but MUDs are a more advanced form. Multiple players at the same time playing in a text based fantasy world. Achaea is one of the more popular ones, but they are definitely pay to win.
