Stuff like this is almost always BOUND TO FAIL, first, most govs can already get a hand of your identity, second, it costs them 0 resources to even attempt something like this, the fact that some censorship works now that was born from that OFCOM thing (like regional bans from SASU), it most likely cost them piss and it's good because they can play pretend that it's going their way. Third, but what if it isn't about control or the movement going their way.
What if, LET'S SPECULATE, what if it's about keeping people EVEN MORE HOOKED and even more defensive of the content that OFCOM wants to restrict in the first place. HOW CAN YOU EVEN DEFEND AGAINST THIS IF IT'S THE CASE?
BECAUSE IF THIS FAILS, look, if this movement fails and one day people just like with veganism will come up with their own conclusion that it's bad to eat animals (it's bound to happen eventually); they will with pornography too, I'll give this as an example.
