Venting MOM, I DON’T WANNA MAKE MONEY, I’M GONNA FUCKING DIE 😭

today my mom was on my ass about making money, and i told her i didn't care cuz i was gonna die anyway. she said if i said that again, she'd take away all my devices. it's kinda funny cuz i'm literally 22 lol

and it's like, they don't even take me seriously when i talk about dying, and they think punishing me is gonna help?

Saying, "I'm gonna die anyway" as a response to someone telling you to get a job is a totally different energy than asking, "Can I talk to you about something serious for a minute? I've been having thoughts of wanting to die..."

I don't know your mother and if she'd be willing to have such a solemn discussion with you, but it is perfectly normal for people to react with anger or resistance to the thought of their loved ones dying. It's not something easily considered in the spur of the moment when you're talking about making money.
