• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

my mom just found out i went to visit my boyfriend (we're lgbt+) in july.

I'm in a long distance relationship and in july i planned on meeting my bf at the capital, and everything went well. but today my mom saw a photo on my phone of us together, and she's really REAALLY upset.

she has known im lgbt for a year now, and i never planned on telling her we already met. now she basically told me to not consider her my mother anymore, that if she never speaks to me again it is my fault.

i always prepared myself to cut contact with my family because they're terrible and toxic and hurt me in lots of ways, but when the time finally came it hurts so bad.

i wish i had a normal family that could love me the way i am

I'll never understand these people's thought process. How can you ever say that to your own child, regardless of what they identify as or who they love? Is that worth ruining your relationship with them? Is it shame? What is going on in their heads?

I'm sorry you're going through this. Wish there was more encouragement to be said, hopefully she was like that only in the moment, and she'll cool off eventually.

I'm really sorry that all happened out of your control and she reacted like that. Years ago I kept my boyfriend (now ex) a secret out of fear of the same situation. Sucks that people can be this way.

I'm so sorry. Some people are so blinded by the ideologies they've swallowed that cruelty seems like righteousness to them. The LGBT community is enormous and full of stories like yours. You're not alone out there. Your mother has shown who she really is, now you get to choose a family who will love and accept you.

I am sorry and I am upset and angry with your mother. She brought you to this world. She has obligations to you, not other way around, she should have unconditional love, not other way around. "You can call me mother, only if you are as how I imagined". Well, then don't call me your son, you not a mother I imagined." It is not your fault. She doesn't want to speak then so be it. She wants to start to speak? You don't have to start to listen, but you can. IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT.

Breeders bring children into the world, then disown them if they follow a different lifestyle, one that they didn't even choose. Fuck this planet.

this is completely wrong in so many levels as parents are supposed to support their children and not leave them behind

I'm very sorry to hear that.

As a parent she is supposed to love you unconditionally and want nothing but happiness for you. You already feel bad enough (considering you are on this site) and adding to it isn't going to do any good.

Parents are emotional and selfish sometimes
