It feels like the the best non violent ways to CTB have gone away.

N is extremely hard to find.

Most research chemical labs have shut down.

A that's left is SN and there seems to be a ton of uncomfortable side effects that I'd prefer not to experience in my final moments.

We all did. I have a neurological disease. It would be nice if I could have N, so I can finally find some form of peace to my hell.

If you look around the suicide resource compilation. There are still 2 method that i'd say is somewhat peaceful.

There are none. Even Nitrogen isn't. I have first-hand experience from testing it a bit. At worst, it's a quick uncomfortable death. At best, it's a shotgun blast in a gaseous form. Plus, it's pretty risky, so you need to do quite a bit of testing to make sure it goes correctly after you pass out (as if the short lead up to passing out wasn't bad enough). Otherwise, you could sustain permanent injuries. It's not a beautiful death either. You're going to get a gruesome death with Nitrogen or any other inert gas.

The happy-hypoxic death notion is a lie. I don't doubt it's lethality though if done correctly. It's in my toolkit though. It's better than something like PSH, as you don't have to drag out the process and suffer long.

What makes you think SN is that uncomfortable? Have people reported this discomfort?

The fact that you need anti-emetics is a bad sign.

Even the peaceful pill book gives it 6/10 in peacefulness.

I've seen that video, to me it doesn't look that bad at all

To each, their own. I don't want to spend my last moments like that. I wouldn't want someone I care for to spend their last moments like that either.

The only thing SN has going for it is its accessibility.

Google for Joe Winko. He made a video of himself taking SN.
I've looked at it here. Doesn't look that bad at all to me, he's just rolling around for 6 or so minutes then stays still.

To me it seems much more preferable to most other methods besides N, mostly because you know you can't mess it up. You drink some salty water, and once that's done you exist for maybe 16-17 minutes in some amount of pain and with nausea while eventually you pass out.

Pain and nausea sound terrible. I don't have a terminal illness, so I lack the capacity to handle this things.

The whole reason why people use gas is bc carbon monoxide is reportedly worse, and takes longer. I've read enough accounts here of people who tried & gave up on it to have no interest in it.

Well depends on concentration no? I've heard with high enough concentration it could do the job In a few minutes. And the effects are reportedly not so painful either but I guess there could be more to it. But the failures could also be to due to bad setup

there are some firsthand accounts on here that come across as pretty negative. many people who survived experienced such discomfort or panic that they called for help or swore off the method entirely. and some seemingly successful ctb posts also had negative descriptions of symptoms before the user stopped updating. it's certainly more of a gamble than something like N

How long did people survive for before calling for help? I can't imagine calling an ambulance 15 or even 30 minutes or an hour in, no matter how painful. But if it's been 7-8 hours and I'm somehow still conscious, alive and hurting I would call one too

from what i remember, there is a range in timing. usually in the first 30 minutes, but sometimes longer. at some point the body realizes that you're dying or suffering, and for most people, panic and SI set in. it's biological and instinctive, hard to blunt with drugs. most people do not want to suffer in their last moments. N was one of the few methods where you rarely, if ever, see this reported, so i get where OP is coming from.

You have any links? I'm considering it now after doing some research!
