Hey y'all, please forgive me if the joke doesn't translate. I'm old and very American. (I try not to be an ugly American, but can we really not be?! Please forgive me fellow Americans who are better than I am)
I was having a really sad time awhile ago (maybe a couple years by now) and met someone who became a friend. We chatted for awhile and I reluctantly went off-site to Google chat. We connected a couple times a week. He was in Africa, in a beautiful beachside town in Africa and I live in the desert of the US. He loved to eat out and when we met he ate out every night. It was just him and his dad. I'm guessing it was really that they didn't know how to cook. It wasn't a weekend with Dad thing. He was going to school to become a software engineer. He was a sweet soft soul. He was always kind. He used to not understand how much things cost here. He said they rented a 2br apt for something like $300/mo. It was something inconceivable like that. He was deeply depressed and inconsolably sad bc a part of his body wasn't the way it should be to him. He also had a girlfriend in Thailand.
Anyway. He's gone missing from me for a few months now. I've heard nothing. The only way we contacted each other bc I was so sure I might be getting scammed, was on Google chat and here.
And tbh, I pretty much just quit living on here and have forgotten his handle here.
Anyway, if you've gotten this far, I miss him. If this sounds familiar?, can you tell him hi and I hope he's ok?
