Anybody here used minoxidil against hairloss?

I (f30) tried, and no method helped me.

Today again, I woke up and had red eyes and blurred vision from oral minox 2.5mg. The other methods gave me irritated skin and worsened my sebborroic dermatitis. It doesn't work on me sadly.

If I use it further maybe I could get a nonischemic CRVO.

Maybe I just take every 2 days minox or I really need to stop and find a weaker alternative. For now minox is just toxic for me.

I suffer from fetal alcohol syndrom and maybe that's why I only get side effects.

Have you took any other medicine for hairloss?

Oral minoxidil is notorious for resulting in idiosyncratic side effects (that can be fatal). Topical is better, as the risk of it going systemic is lower, and the results are the same if not better.

The issue is applying it daily, and never stopping.

I wish to die soon, so I really wonder if I just should take minox until my kidneys give up or so. But I don't want to go blind early. I just want a blackout (heart stops) and then finish.

Sadly, I cannot use the topical anymore because I have reactions from it. I think I cannot tolerate the minox itself.

There is nothing for this case, I just use iron supplements, magnesium and saw palmetto extract capsules (sägepalmextrakt kapseln). And I used 2023 Xpecia for women and men.

The iron supplements seem to fill my corners but my forehead is still high, and I have a "egg head" (FASD symptom imo). The hair is frizzy, curly. My biggest problem is my face because other women have a bald head or very short hair, but everyone likes them, because their face and head is seen as pretty.

I think it's likely something to do w/ minoxidil and your skin as opposed to minoxidil itself.

Using minoxidil is a probably not a great method, it takes a long time -- months, and you'll get edema in your limbs, it's the fluid build-up in the pericardial sac around your heart that'll ultimately do you in. The thing is, from the research, this has been idiosyncratic, some people go fine abusing 10mg/day, others have sides from smaller doses.

You should talk to a dermatologist about your hairloss situation, the root cause may be something deeper to do w/ your skin (not that hairloss isn't handled by anyone but a dermatologist). For androgenic alopecia in men, finasteride, or dutasteride is pretty good, I wouldn't know what your situation is.
