Minimizing the suffering of those who stay

Curious to anyone in here, and please do not take this as a way of me trying to scare anyone into not doing this, but if you were somehow convincingly informed that if you did ctb, one of your loved ones would soon follow due to this, how would this make you feel? Would it be enough to seriously deter you from doing this? Personally, I'd hate for my death to cause more death. I honestly don't think there is any way to minimize suffering for those left behind, unfortunately for many of us here.

If it was one of my parents I wouldn't really care that much, although it would be unfortunate and I hope it doesn't happen. They made the choice to have me without my consent and now I am choosing to exit without theirs. If it devastates them so much that they want to ctb that's on them. If they aren't able to accept that children grow up and make their own decisions then they should not have had any kids.

I would feel bad if my sister chose to ctb, because she's innocent in all of this. Probably still not sad enough to deter me from ctb in the end, but enough to give me pause.
