Are people who are successful in committing suicide so called doers?

Is a self-determined life the best precondition for a self-determined death? If you don´t endure passively your living conditions but influence them in accordance with your wishes, then you will end your life if you see no chance to better your living conditions instead of passively waiting for your inevitable death.

I am afraid most members of this forum aren´t doers.

I believe that most who succeed at it do it impulsively, which allows them to fight through SI and guilt.

Many of us aren't "doers", but if a pro lifer said that to me ("you wont do it") I'd happily prove him/her wrong out of spite.

This seems like an unfair criticism- ctb is a complicated situation with so much at stake, everyone here is hurting, this really just seems unfairly critical.

At least to me I think that what can give people the mindset to actually go through with it, is for people to have a method that they feel confident in and to have a plan that they believe that they will succeed with. I've read about many people feeling relieved when they have their SN as having a method can often give people this feeling of finality and they no longer feel so trapped here. In a lot of cases in particular when the methods are less desirable, I just think that many people get so desperate to escape from their life circumstances and this allows them to overcome the SI. I think that is the case especially for methods as terrifying as jumping.

I don´t want to criticise suicides, in the contrary I want to say something positive about suicides because doers enjoy a high social status.

Out of the MANY times, I have tried to catch the bus, trust and believe me I am sincere. Ask any of the mental health doctors. Including the ones, at the place, I ESCAPED from. I was being held against my will and the guy blinked.😆 POOF! makethepainstop took to the ozone!😎

That´s the point, doers are used to be succesfull and if they have a plan they are confident that it will work. My impression is that many people here had not so much success in their life and therefore they hesitate even if they have a reliable method.

I found this video posted by another member. It's an hour long. I found it very interesting and useful.
The speaker talks about the mindset needed to be able to ctb.
I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS VIDEO.

We need motivational speaker. But for suicidal people. Somebody with pessimistic-"can do" attitude. joke

Well those who are doers are not here for long-so we might suffer a survivorship bias. They usually make very little noise and are not here for long. They might not even make an account in here, just lurk and then ctb.

The part that I though was too critical is the following:

"I am afraid most members of this forum aren´t doers."
