holy FUCK if you're gonna write a romance, never leave it unfinished. i feel like that's the first rule of writing, but ESPECIALLY in romance. If you get controversy, at least find a way to wrap it up fast and satisfyingly. holy shit dude. dont light a fire if you cant stand the heat. fuck me dude that shit pissed me off so bad. don't get people attached to a couple you made only to fuck all your audience over when you dont finish it goddamn.

Omg I relate to this so heavily. I was an avid reader. I struggle to read now due to low attention span and loss of interest in my hobbies.

I remember coming across so many unfinished romance novels during my wattpad era 🥲. Used to annoy me so much.

I also used to write alternate endings for the books I read if I didn't like the ending. Would be writing it instead of notes in classroom or during my free time in notes app.

Dissatisfaction with the ending would almost always happen for me with romance novels.
I used to vehemently dislike cheating and forgiving tropes (second chances with cheating). I have trauma with this due to my parents. But I would be gobbling up these novels. Yeah I am a glutton for punishment.

I use wattpad sometimes and I only read books marked as completed. Too many people stop updating or like to update three times a year. I understand writing can be hard but atp write the story privately and then publish the chapters on a schedule or all at once.

I also can't read books that say it's under a three hour read. Chances are it's quick and not good to read.

Haha just this morning I got so mad because the book I was reading had so many implausible parts. Sad thing is it was really good!
