I plan to CTB in my car (via partial suspension) , can anyone give me advice on how that should work. I've read that it's a mixed bag, you can go out painfully of peacefully, any survivors report any pain? How can I prevent pain as much as possible. I plan to ingest a mix of Xanax and Trazodone (and of course marijuana ) to keep myself as sedated (calm) as possible, any other medication I should consider?

Feeling nervous. I don't have health insurance and therefore I cannot afford to survive. I must ensure this method is as lethal as possible.

How will you hang yourself in your car? I'm curious as there isn't really space for hang in a car

Yes, I don't want to get into specifics but it will hopefully work similarly although I'm hoping to make it more lethal (like I said I can't afford to survive)

I had zero pain once I found the right spot. It took several attempts of sitting up and readjusting (I was kneeling) to get the rope just right.

Set up and attempted partial like 3 days ago. I wouldn't consider myself a survivor, body just kept standing up.

Uncomfortable, but fine. Felt a bit dizzy when bloodflow stopped, and the pressure on the neck cartilage is a little uncomfortable, but that's about it. Nearly passing out took maybe 6 seconds. For sure would be dead if SI didn't betray me.

did you put it in the lower part of the neck or up next to the chin?

By readjusting you mean moving it up and down the neck?

I found just the plain rope to be quite painful. Has anybody found a way to cushion the rope? Are there more comfortable things than a rope like a harness or some sort of gym strap?

I gave up on strangulation (not the same as psh) because I couldn't get the rope tight enough and it just wasn't working lol. Wouldn't say it's painful minus pressure in your head if you're doing it incorrectly. It should genuinely not be painful if don't correctly. If you stay calm and SI doesn't kick in, it'll work.

you should make sure the rope is around 10-15 ish mm and made of synthetic materials (idk remember what their name is exactly, but as long as it isnt manila/organic it should be fine). you can also put thin socks on the left and right sides of your neck

I tried psh many times, and it was very uncomfortable, a little painful, but I think I just wasn't doing it right, cause eventually I tried fsh, and tho it ended up failing, it was uncomfortable but painless, and I was unconscious very quickly. I imagine that getting psh right might have felt similar.

The last time we tried it in our car we spent 3 hours going between all 4 seats. We didn't experience any pain, just a little panic every time we woke up from being passed out.

I wouldn't call it painful but your body reacts with a trauma response as the rope gets tighter around your neck in the hopes of passing out. Your natural instinct will be to loosen the rope. It's hard to overcome. That is why FSH is more successful because once you step off, there is no going back. I have had no much mental pain in my life, physical pain doesn't bother me so much.

I would suspect partial hanging in a car has a high risk of failure. Your body jerks around while you're unconscious and any of those jerks may put you into a less lethal position- a lot easier to do sitting in a car.

One user on the forum mentioned using a door knob and failing.

I've watched a lot of successful hanging videos on gore sites to get an idea of what works. They all consistently have a high mounted position that is strong and stable. They stand directly underneath and bend their knees or stand on something like 2-3 inches off the ground then step down so they can still touch the ground but not as fully. After going unconscious their body flails about for a few minutes- that part is slow and takes a while. I've tried finding studies whether you can feel pain when unconscious but there seems to be no way for people to study that and pain after coming back into consciousness is a separate thing. All I could find was a study that said 70% of caregivers and nurses around coma & unconscious patients thought they could feel pain. But this could be misleading because as seen with hangings, the person is unconscious and their body flails around as it's starved of oxygen.

One user commented this on another post:
I haven't read it yet but will eventually.

Do you have any posts (or are you willing to describe) how each of them failed so we can learn from your experiences?

I think a different ligature other than rope may be more comfortable. However, I also read that a self tightening noose is best to use. Sometimes there is a lot of thrashing so the self tightening noose would be best, but I read of many other people hanging themselves with sheets, belts, bath robe belts, etc. Need to be extremely careful because a failed attempt could mess me up even more than I am now.
