And the more you watch, the more desensitized you get. Which means gradually you'll need more and more extreme porn to get turned on. Which can lead to dangerous stuff.
Is this really true? If so, then most porn users would be on their way to desensitization, and more and more extreme porn would be consumed. But that isn't the case.
Pornhub does a review every year about their stats and trends. Of the most searched terms of 2022... At best 2 could be considered more extreme, really (group sex).
Also, it's kinda crazy that nearly every single serial murderer has a hard-core porn addiction. One could say "that's a reach" or "it's irrelevant", but it's something we should not simply ignore.
Correlation is not causation. For every single serial killer there are thousands if not millions of normal porn users.
Plus, serial killers often suffered sexual abuse when young or had other prior issues regarding their sexuality. Hardcore porn isn't making killers, it's just that killers want porn.
And maybe there are a few men in the world, such as yourself, who can have 500+ GB worth of porn in their collection, yet still somehow are able to act sane and treat women as actual human beings, but I seriously doubt the minds of most men in this world are wired that way or are capable of that
I'm just a data hoarder, 500GB goes quick when it's high quality videos. And yes, it's pretty easy to separate films (porn, tv, youtube) from reality
You suggested that "porn needs to be destigmatized" but again I'd have to completely disagree. If anything, it has already been destigmatized, way too much in fact. The more you destigmatize porn, the more extreme stuff it takes to get turned on.
Again, not really, see the Pornhub trends.
And no, not at all. Why is it that when I search for sexual terms for education, there are only diagrams? Why can't we see the example of a condom being put on a real penis, instead of a banana? What if the banana isn't circumsized and has a lot of skin? Can the banana tell if the condom size is good?
Why can't we have
good porn? Homemade, amateur stuff made by more sensible people than porn magnates. The idea of a pornstar from the 90s is out, people don't want exaggerated fake tits and ass anymore. Can't we show actual sex, why not? Why learn about positions from a diagram on a book? Porn made by women? Porn made by women,
for women? People of different sizes and colors and orientations and gender? Stigmatizing porn closes so many opportunities for progress.
Also... What if someone
does like extreme stuff in bed, whatever it might be? Should they not have access to porn they like?
which is likely a reason why cheating is so prevalent in American culture and why the divorce rate is over 50%.. The divorce rate being so high is a reason no one wants to get married these days. When marriage rates are low, functional families with BOTH parents become more and more rare which sets the child up for failure
This is a whole can of worms in and of itself. Having
access to divorce is good and women are still fighting for more equal grounds on life versus men. Women didn't, or
couldn't, divorce in the past because they relied so much financially or materially on men.
Forcing two adults to stay married does not guarantee a functional family at all. My parents "stuck around for the kids" and look at what forum I ended up on.
It's to the point that damn near everyone's mother thinks it's their time to start an OnlyFans. Little do they know 90% of OnlyFans workers make less than McDonalds employees.. and they just ruined their digital footprint forever (all for a couple bucks).
I AGREE. 100%. OnlyFans is mostly a trap where women dream of easy money when in reality it's only the top 1% of creators that make a living. Even when using tiktok, reddit, twitter etc and constantly marker their bodies. I too feel bad for the women who feel like their bodies are forevwr stuck on the internet.
Nearly every pop song is either about drugs or sex. We've got little kids singing the words whether the messages are obvious or subliminal. You said you watched porn at 12 or 13 but that is way too early for a child to be watching others have sex. Really, I don't think it should be normal that anyone watches others have sex, it's unnatural.
I mean, puberty hit. I was basically a teen.
The problem with the word "child' or is that it often encompasses literal babies to 17-year olds with full-time jobs. There is a whole spectrum to be considered, and I think that it's natural to be curious about sex come puberty.
Yeah, songs are often about love and sex. You should see what is broadcast on Brazilian airwaves, things get more explicit here. And... it results in a culture that's more sex-positive and open about sex? Talking about sex is good. Repression of sexual thoughts and concersations is not.
Imagine that happening in real life. Only a weird cuck of a man would get off in the corner to another man fucking a girl right next to him. If society shames someone for something, it's not always right, but in this case I'd say it is.
Uhhh that's just your opinion bro. Don't kink shame, not cool.
Now I agree on your opinion that there should be better sex education, but I genuinely don't think destigmatizing porn is the solution because porn could not be further from reality... porn creates false expectations, unhealthy addictions, and sickly viewpoints towards those around
Do you want some good porn recommendations or something? Seriously you portray any porn as the devil.
Porn is inherently exploitative and harmful to women. It dehumanizes them. It reduces them down to a piece of meat with the sole purpose of sexually gratifying others. It removes their talent as someone who can offer real love to others, someone who can share their intellect with others, and create authentic memories with others. It removes their human attributes.
Is a normal acting role dehumanizing because they are playing a part in a movie and not expressing their true identity?
What is so inherently unhuman about sex? Actually, sex is what makes humans in the first place.
Why does porn remove a woman's talent to love or be smart? What? You mean it reduces them to their bodies? Sure, but so are so many jobs. When I see a cashier I think about paying for the groceries, not about their family and education...
And, well, should women not have the option to do so? Like, the whole trafficking thing is overblown, the vast majority of women chose to do porn on their own volition.
Also, how does gay porn fit in this conversation? And trans women, and trans men, and cisgender men, and the whole spectrum of people? Why are we only talking about women? Is gay porn not exploitative because it only involves men? Is lesbian porn double exploitarive?
I feel like you have a really warped perception of porn, to be honest.
