Many people will likely ctb as global economic situation unravels.

Many of you know I live in UK, and it is becoming clearer that many of us will suffer over winter in different ways. Monumental failings in the government will add more crisis to people as we reflect on fuel, food, housing cost increases. Some people will loose their jobs, homes and everything. It's simply tragic that some people will end up in a dire situation.

how does this uphold the sanctity of life, when people are suffering. I'm suffering too because I can't get the health care I need on nhs.

It's understandable as to why this would make people choose to ctb. It really can be so horrible living a low quality life which just only gets worse as time goes on. It's also very depressing how people continue to bring life into this world, where the people born will inevitably suffer to such great extents. I don't see death as being tragic, as death is freedom from everything but instead it's tragic what the world is like for people.

Indeed, the world situation isn't improving and from all points of view : economic, political, health. Especially since, although these are subjects that may seem abstract to us, they will touch us directly one day or another. Anyway, I have the impression that the world will always be so rotten. Granted, there have been times when it was even worse than it's today, but honestly, that's not a cause for celebration. It remains rotten.

I will never understand how people can bring new life into this world. It's an unenviable fate. Apparently some people seem to think our world is a good thing, otherwise they wouldn't be having children.

It was once called "social murder" this process by which certain groups are pushed into unlivable situations. The idea that you can make a profit by destroying the world and the lives of others is one of humanity's greatest errors. They might force people into poverty and starve them to death, but because they don't literally kill them by their own hands, they are held as blameless. Before that happens, they will probably start killing each other in the streets in order to get some food for the day. Then they will ask themselves "why did I keep trusting those useless people in suits..?" (politicians).

I think without a doubt the suicide rate in the UK will increase due to the financial situation largely caused by PM Liz Truss, and that will increase the pressure, stress, worry on struggling normal people who are just trying to stay afloat. Will the mainstream media report the increase of people taking their life's? Probably not as they won't want to advertise this as an option.

As for anyone actually caring to report about an uptick in suicides, I would assume no, because everything is just fine and dandy whenever everyone is suffering. But suddenly when your lives improve a weird narrative that everything is not fine gets thrown out there.

It's very confusing and honestly, I hate following it but we all have to live this life I guess.
