Making SN look like natural causes

Hi all

I started a similar thread recently regarding Nembutal but it seemed not possible to make that look like natural causes, so I'll ask the same about Sodium Nitrate.

Is there a way to die from SN that would cause the coroner to conclude that it wasn't suicide? Perhaps masking it with other drugs? Or creating a set of circumstances that would appear simply unfortunate?

The only best to make it appear accidental n with Sodium Nitrite would be long and convoluted - have the SN and a bunch of raw meat and set it up like you're ongoing to cure it. Have a powdered drink mix like lemonade out and mix the SN into a glass of water in such a way that it looks like you were going for the lemonade instead. It might work - might.

It really isn't possible because sn turns your skin blue, and when you skin is blue the first thing they think of is sn. Maybe the only way is if your skin is already blue, then no one will notice the difference.

I think it would be difficult. SN does oxidise fairly quickly to sodum nitrate, but we are probably talking days not hours. And high levels of sodium nitrate are probably easily detected and are not normal. Also, an autopsy can probably tell faily easily that you died from low levels of oxygen in the bloodsteam, and if there is no other plausible cause for that, such as a source of carbon monoxide, that would strongly suggest SN. Bottom line is that you probably can't cover it up, unless you arrange for your body to go undiscovered for a very long time - weeks to months.

As others have touched on, it's not really possible. SN causes methemoglobinemia, which is what turns your skin blue – other things can cause this, including genetic conditions or other substances you might "accidentally" OD on, but not really "natural causes" other than conditions linked to your DNA.

I don't know where you live, but almost everywhere, as far as I know, they will do an autopsy and toxicology tests if you die suddenly or under suspicious circumstances, and the autopsy/toxicology tests would reveal that your death is from SN.

No lol, SN is extremely salty. Chucking it down would be unbelievable, not calling the meds even more and not vomiting or consuming DB before points to ctb. Also curing meat with too high SN is illegal in some countries. So if you survive you also got a criminal charge.

People have actually died accidentally by using too much in home cured meats and other foods- where it has been used in error:

Still- to try and CTB and make it look accidental sounds risky to me. Presumably- anti-emetics won't be used- or- any other type of medication. Plus- would the full dose be injested in water? Seems strange that someone would do that under normal circumstances. I imagine an autopsy would be carried out regardless because it's bound to look like a suspicious death. SN is known to be a substance commonly used in suicides. Plus- depending on how much they decide to investigate- you have an internet history of researching methods- and being on this forum. I guess you can wipe all that stuff but I wonder if they can still access it.

I don't know. I do think it's kind and considerate when people consider their families like this. Still- I just wonder how much worry it's possible to spare them from. I would have thought the not knowing for sure would be traumatic in itself. I suspect with most deaths, suicide will at least be considered. The less clear the reason why the death happened- I imagine the more investigating they'll do. I could be wrong though- I don't have any direct experience of it.
