I don't know why but recently I feel that every person in this world are just selfish. Like, they only do things that would benefit them. They deceive people and make people believe they love them but actually not.

Selfishness is completely universal. The only difference with an enlightened society is that people see it in their own self-interest to treat others, and the planet that sustains them, with kindness.

All people are naturally selfish, everything we do is to benefit ourselves in some way. People can be very cruel and that is why I choose to stay away from them as then their actions cannot upset me.
